Wow some amazing watches. I have vowed to limit myself to no more than 2 watches from any manufacturer. Both of these are not going anywhere so these will likely be my only Rolexes unless I do a 180.
The explorer was literally my first watch bought, in cliche style, by my dad when I was born and the second a present, from my wife, to match her datejust.

Life and watches. More than I need less than I want.

I am undecided whether to sell my GMT and replace it with a YG DD40 with the black motif dial?

This has been lying minty and unworn in my watch box since I bought it from SC in 2017. It was never bought to lie unworn, but it’s taken me all of that time to decide whether it’s a keeper.

Following the recent sale of my 16600, I decided to remove the stickers, size the bracelet and wear it. It’s early days, but I’m thinking I’ve made the right choice to keep this and move on the 16600. The glide lock’s giving me an extra level of adjustability and stability with bracelet that it’s predecessor didn’t provide. So far I’m loving it.

Very nice, I have the exact same but batons rather than roman numerals. Looking to get a jubilee bracelet though as I prefer it over the Oyster bracelet for the 126300.

Hope you enjoy the watch for a long time to come.

One that I sold to a friend to make room for another watch. Loved this Linen sigma dial. Can’t wait till we can easily fly again so I can go and buy this back.

Lockdown has dulled my interest in Rolex watches, I haven’t worn one for months.
Never had a SOTC, I’m bored so here they are.

Yes it is, I’m very pleased with it and have worn it for the past four days. I’m not a 100 percent convinced about the double markers though. Your watch is more classical looking for sure.

The ultimate SD. Looks great and limited number which ought, one day, to matter price wise if you decide to let go.

This is the first Rolex i have ever owned, hasn't been off my wrist since it arrived 10 days ago.

Here are all the ones I've owned, 14060, 14060m, Oyster Perpetual 39, and finally the only one I now own is the latest 41mm Submariner 124060.

Yeah, I very much prefer the single baton look, along with the 39mm size which is ultimately why I went for this one (bought in December) instead of going for the new 41, however there are some big upgrades in your model that I wish mine had - the clasp, the ChromaLight and of course the new movement with longer power reserve. The 41 is a lot of watch for the money now.

I disagree. If it’s the 116600 you should sell it to me! Nice looking watch, always a big decision to remove the stickers :)

Yes I know, but had a bit of a health related scare over Christmas/New Year luckily now confirmed nothing sinister, but it underlined to me that life’s just too short to be keeping things in a safe not getting any use out of them.

Sorry to hear about the health scare, it does put things sharply into focus.

Life is indeed too short and it’s easy to waste it getting ready and being sensible instead of living. In fact, I think I’m going to take the afternoon off for a motorbike ride !

Picked up today from my AD...think this takes me out of the game (well, at least for a while!)

Next to the BLNR the purple in the BLRO really stands out versus the striking blue in the BLNR.
