    Just delivered by Fedex

Arrived half an hour ago and now fitted :-)

STEINHART "OCEAN One Vintage DUAL Time PREMIUM"

    http://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/OC...EMIUM,949.html

I wanted a GMT and this seems to fit the bill. Maybe a tadge bigger than I'd really like but fits fine on my wrist.

Looks great. Good size and colours.
The only thing for me is that white date wheel would wreck my head.

42mm without crown. Impossible to tell size with such a close up and not knowing how big the person is.

    Looks really smart.

Is the movement decorated the same as the one on the website pictures and did you order from Germany?

    Thanks.

I really like like the look of that - one of the better homages from Steinharts by the looks of it. Looks like they've tried to make this one a little more premium than the others, with the new movement and sapphire caseback.

Some price though, I expected it to be around the 'Ocean One Vintage Red' price point rather than almost double, but the premium touches must up production costs a fair whack.

Personally I'd have liked it a smidgen smaller and the crown is, IMHO, far too large.

So far timekeeping looks spot on.

I like it but that date window just doesn't look right to my eyes.

It's nice though and I like the vintage look.

thats a really nice looking watch but the date window does look a little plain it could have done with some sort of boarder to bring it out a bit more,
colours work well together, good buy

As stated earlier, the date window looks kind of small like it doesn't fit, is it the pic?

Looks like a winner. I wondered if the red numerals date wheel was for the steel bracelet and black numerals for the leather strap but your watch disproves that.

Are some days/every other day painted red?

Sorry to obsess about the date, the watch looks absolutely stunning.

    Stolen pics.

Just to annoy you further ;-) Half the days are red and half black, it alternates each day e.g. 6th is red, 7th is black :-)

That is kind of strange, do you happen to know why?

I couldn't agree more. It's s great looking watch, but that date window would stop me buying it.

Not off my head no... I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time so 50% of the people 50% of the time is a compromise?

    I'll ask Steinhart why.

No need, they are offering the watch without the cyclops. The date window is the same as the original Rolex just without magnification.

actually Steinhart have told me it's alternate read and BLUE (not black). Kinda fits with the pepsi colour scheme then.
