This is good thread. It would be also nice if you state whether you bought a new or used watch. Smooth business is one thing but I'm also interested how the watches represent the description on condition in used watches.
Useful stuff; I would just add one slight note of caution. Presumably most watch dealers provide a generally competent service, or they would quickly be out of business (hopefully!). It's what happens when something goes wrong that sorts out the excellent from the good, and the good from the poor.
So, for me, that's the most useful feedback..how a dealer dealt with complains and problems.
If only that were true! But Nigel O'Hara, of evil memory, clung onto viability for years despite a reputation so bad that they spent more on lawyers to threaten forums than they probably did on stock. And UK Specialist Watches, purveyors of fluffy-dialled Rolexes and iffy Spanish motors to the gentry, are still in business, at least for the time being.
The trouble is, most people don't buy watches very often (apart from Wayne and Vinny). If you have a bad experience with a particular dealer, you probably just won't go back to them, but the lack of repeat business doesn't really hurt them. So yes, feedback one way or the other is very important: the good dealers, of which there are many, deserve to prosper at the expense of the bad ones.
I had a good experience with Passione Vintage in Palermo, Italy. I gave an account of my experience in a previous thread:

This would make a good sticky... Nice idea.
Appreciate there have been a few threads on Chrono24 feedback but I'm specifically looking to find out if anyone has had any recent experience of dealings with PlusWatch in Italy via Chrono24?
Found this, but quite old now:

Thanks
have bought a couple of watches from him with no issues
Chaps,
I found something I'd like to buy from Orologeria Tempus and a fella called Gianluca.
Anyone had any dealings?
Also he has asked if I can pay via Paypal and wondered if anyone had any views on whether this was better/worse than with a Credit Card?
Does it cost him less?
Cheers
Chris
I certainly found Paypal’s dispute resolution very easy and effective, when recently pursuing a refund for a microbrand watch that didn’t arrive. The seller refunded within 2 weeks once I involved Paypal. I can’t see how a credit card would have given me as the buyer more protection - others may have a different experience.
I bought a Zenith Chronomaster from a Romanian seller the shops name was MD-Watches and the guys name was Mihai Drumea.
Very good seller watch arrived in time and as described.
Would recommend.
CC Watches - Monaco (Clarissa)
Top class service, always prompt to reply to any queries
Good - Nicolas at Old Time Heure in Paris - bought a Breguet XX (used) through Chrono with him, very helpful and supplied an additional leather strap with Breguet deployant to sweeten the deal, although postage charge was expensive (150 Euros) - watch arrived 24hrs after payment.
As an aside, I tend to use the price that Watchfinder puts up and substract 20-30% to give me an idea of reasonable market price on Chrono24

Has anyone bought from Fabel gmbh on Chrono24. Been in contact with then about a watch which they say they can get in around 2-3 weeks for me. They list many high end makes so thought maybe a few on here had bought from them given they have some decent prices. Cheers.
