I don't think I've ever seen an Aqua Terra without some sort of date complication...
Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice, although I own a PO Ti and have had a Speedie in the past I'm not really an Omega man.
I have been offered this in a trade +£ and was wondering about value, yes I know I can use Google or eBay past sales, but i'm not even sure of the model, so a little lost at where to start.
To add to that I only have a photo to work from, if all seems good and the price (PTX) id right I'm considering it.
Of course I'm not going to do the deal just off a picture, but to do a F2F involves a lot of driving, so just wondering if it's worth all the bother initially.
Any info greatly received, thanks in advance

It screams fake to me. Be careful.
The E in Chronometer looks like it was drawn in using a pencil.
The case around the lugs looks odd - seems poorly finished for an Omega or it's been polished to heck.
all the above + crown and logo don't look right either...
Owning an AT, I am 99.99% sure that is a fake.
No model without a date has been made with the 'teak' dial, crown looks too small, quality and size of lettering is poor. Wrong applied omega logo. List goes on...
I know the crown size has increased over the years, but the crown on that looks tiny
I'm no expert but what with the funny looking E on Chronometer and the strange looking finish on the lugs I'd stay away.

100% fake - and an obvious one at that.
Yep, that's a fake.
Apart from what has been mentioned look at the second hand, the original looks to have an extension out to the second digits around the outside - the picture you have has a short hand and overall a scam looks on the cards here.... Steer well clear of this..
I'm not Omega Man either, but that belongs in the trash. This person who's offering it - feel free to identify, so others don't get screwed over!
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Also look at the way the Seamaster text is written compared with the lower picture. The s in particular looks rather childlike.
The name on the photobucket account is easy to find, unless that is the OP's photobucket.
This post has to be a wind up? The suspect trader needs taking outside to have a word with himself.
It's as fake as the day is long.
Nice for £80 or so, but not real.
My God that is bad. Kill it with fire.
I assume they are not a member here?
If so name and shame immediately.
Chaps,
It didn't look right to me, but not being an Omega man just needed reassuring, which you have done.
Many thanks, I'll steer clear
Who is the miscreant who is trying to hawk their fakes on here?
Not a member I hope?
Cheers,
Neil.
...and with the speit of hacked accounts you can't be to careful here either anymore (though Eddie is doing an excellent job weeding them out)
I don't think that's a fake...it looks awesome...ill go as high as £10k but no higher
A photo of the display back would be interesting!
Not sure I understand Yeti's 'Fakemaster' comment??? Can`t see any grounds to cast doubts over the OP.
Paul
i'm certainly not Omega Guy possibly, yet in which connected inside waste. This particular particular person that's giving the item -- sense liberated to identify, so other people don't get screwed in excess of!
You are all wrong.
That's an exceedingly rare Omega prototype dial. Fred at Cash Converters told me so himself.
