Can this be a possible solution until scammer F££k Off .....All future posts need a TZ screen shot included ...
This is what I just did in my post Just to be sure...
And NO this is not a gentle bump for my watch, but I think it could be a good solution ..

That's hardly a detailed sales post!!

I think what has happened is a very simple scam that has given folks a heads up about using the same username/password for multiple sites. Unlike some, I use the same username for all my watch forums since I have nothing to hide etc. I do not (now) use the same password for those sites. The golden rule with links (be they e-mail or forum) is check that they send you where they claim to - personally I never click on any email link for a financial related site.

Hi Chris , the picture was just an example of what could be done. it was never supposed to be a detailed sales post !
My intention was just to give a possible solution for future posts on the SC

But on the other side I agree 100% with you, it has opened my eyes to how I use usernames and passwords ...
Lots of changes have taken place sine this started ...

Won't the scammers just ad a TZ picture too once they've read this? (Assuming they have a physical real (fake) watch to sell.

Just add a little hand-written note to any photo stating your user name and the date of the post. Will at least stop the fraud attempts with stock photos from Ebay or similar.

The problem with changing prices and payment details for existing sales ads on hacked accounts will however only be tackled if users are more careful with their passwords.

I guess if the seller isn't posting normally on other parts of the forum asking for a photo of the watch with a specific prop or set to a certain time might be a solution?

Like many I share forum IDs and passwords - since a failed log on attempt I have beefed up my TZ password - fortunately the collective seem to be staying ahead of the scammers at the moment but we all owe it to each other to keep our accounts as secure as possible.

I think this would provide a bit more "security" and confidence to buyers.

Did anybody buy from or sell to any of the members who got hacked recently?

If so, scammers now have your name, address and bank details, and know you collect luxury watches.

Obviously I meant the people we know got hacked so far.

    There could be loads.

If you agreed a deal ask the seller to post a picture with the watch set to a certain time/date. 7.42 on the 12th day.

    Due diligence, caveat .... Etc

I've been doing that for a while. At least it let's you validate that the seller is actually in possession of the watch. Chrono24 forces private sellers to do this as well.

Anyone can write a note on a piece of paper fairly easily.

2 fish on the head, much harder

Or today's paper, or your iPad on the TZ porn forum clock, or the tactical knife/tent/shoes you've bought...
