    Omega Double Eagle Chronograph

I traded my IWC for this unusual Omega Constellation Double Eagle Chrono. The constellation range is always going to be a bit marmite, so feel free to have your say on the watch.

It has a 41mm case and 100m water resistance, watch features the 3313 Calibre chronograph with Co-axial escapement, the display back that showcases the Frederic Piquet based movement.

I actually like it quite a bit.
Have one as a matter of fact.
Not a big fan of the rubber strap it comes on but there is also a croc for this model which I have been looking for.

I like it too but it suffers from non-standard lugs so changing the strap would be expensive.

I like that. It's nicer than the other double Eagles I've seen. Is there a bracelet available for this?

That is really nice, quite probably the best looking contemporary Constellation imho. The Omega website shows a slightly different dialled version 1514.51.00 on a steel bracelet.....http://http://www.omegawatches.com/c...graph/15145100

There is a bracelet version but I actually prefer the rubber strap as it very comfortable and gives a nice contrast to the watch.

A completely straight on shot wouldn't go amiss, but I like that a lot!

Have never seen one before - good on you for giving it a go and sharing with us all!

Also any photos of how the case / strap meets?

My double eagle was on rubber, looks better and wears a lot better than on the bracelet. Good catch.

Nicest looking one Ive seen is that!

I don't like rubber straps..but..that just looks "right" on that particular watch.

Paul, not to my tastes but it looks good on you. Perhaps my lack of hairy arms hinders me :)

I've never particularly like the Double Eagle, but that looks damn cool.

Hmm....of the two I prefer the IWC by a long way but that's just me. Nothing wrong with the double eagle, I just REALLY liked that IWC

As you say, potentially a Marmite offering

    For me

+ve Case shape, bevelled lugs, oblong pushers and domed crystal

-ve Crown guards (would prefer brushed finish), Black bezel (I prefer the all steel bezel)

    Overall an interesting choice

The double eagle is a very interesting piece but imho I prefer the IWC, despite that date window. The omega does stand out though.

It's the roman numerals on the bezel which seem a bit aberrant to me on that watch. I really like the dial though.

Honestly? I love the look of the IWC, and something about that Omega's design makes me think you've done absolutely the wrong thing.

Better on rubber than on a bracelet, but still doesn't have (to my jaundiced eyes, anyway) any of the class or style of the IWC.

    Congratulations on an interesting acquisition.

Marmite, yes, but very distinctive, and I think the rubber suits it really well, but I'm not sure I could have parted with the IWC.

    Bloody Nice Watch that!

-One of the better new Omega reincarnations with the quartz away with it and panda styling. Much more interesting that the IWC IMO.

I like these a lot, the combination with the rubber strap makes it quite sporty. Compared to the traded iwc, I gladly take the Omega everyday.

    Congrats :)

Nicest Double Eagle Constellation I've seen, but still not a fan of the roman numerals and the four metal bits on the sides. Through some arabic numerals on there and lose the metal bits and it would be really great looking. The case, dial and hands I really like.
