    Spotify Issue

Hi, I have a strange problem with just one album on Spotify on my PC.

There is one album, it plays fine, but there is a definite background noise almost like when you try to play a really scratched CD like a clicking noise. I am listening through headphones

For reference it's Counting Crows album Recovering the satellites.

Any ideas? Can anyone also download this and check for me?

All other CC albums (and all other albums in general) work absolutely fine

Thanks in advance for any help

Good album, haven't listened to it for years! Sounds fine to me. Are you sure it's not just a snare drum you're hearing? ;-)

I have had some issues with corrupted files on Spotify. Sometimes it just goes away on its own after a day or so, sometimes it's necessary to completely reinstall Spotify (tends to happen a lot on the iPad app).

I'd maybe try going into playback settings and make sure you have high quality enabled. If you already do, set it to low quality and force a re-download. Then, from low-quality, set it back to high quality and force a re-download again. On the desktop client you can just clear the cache:

Thanks guys, have tried all the above now and still the same.

Have logged it with Spotify and see what they come back with

    Bumping an old thread.

To help with my training I've just started Spotify Premium.

The only thing is that I need to use it in a room where there is no mobile reception and no WiFi. I have downloaded some tracks and podcasts but they don't seem to play - the app is throwing the error message 'not online'.

Surely it doesn't need to be online if they're downloaded...

    Anyone have a fix?

Are you shure that you downloaded? Open your library and set filter to downloaded to check.

Thanks Normunds, it was showing me stuff I had downloaded on the home page of the app, but I'd didn't go through library and set the filter that way.

    Will give it a go.

I think even with offline mode you might need to go online once every 30 days.
