I was worrying that I wasn’t going to wear this, but yesterday put it on an old strap that I’d bought years ago for something else from the bottom of my strap box and it’s just right!

my parents had Robins nest in a waterpump like that in their garden a couple of years running.

I tried to get a photo of something cool on my planet ocean today but couldn't manage it. I guess it was internal relection from the crystal visible as the sunlight was so strong, I could clearly see the 6,9, 12, the Omega, the Hands and the hour indecies all had a faint ghost above and to the side. only visible at just the right angle so i tried to video my wrist as i tilted it about and did captre it for a fraction of a second but oddly when i extract that frame frm the video its gone from the still

I don't see what I saw on those photos either Marius. I was in the garden, sun out, middle of the day so really strong sun and when looking at the watch at a normal angle to view the time I saw all the shiny bits, the omega, the hands and the indece, had a faint but very clear ghost that seemed to be 'in' the glass, is it appeared higher than the dial. Never seen it before and had the po 7, going on 7.5 years now. I thought it was kind of cool looking and didn't obscure the dial. My guess is the anti reflective coatings on the crystal can only lessen not stop reflection and the ghost was the double internally reflected image (bounce from top of crystal then again from bottom of crystal and out the top)

    Here's the video

Please excuse my 4yo .... She'd just seen my wife give me a Hero!

It's not been captured well at all but just before the end you can see the effect I mean, a ghost 12 appears for a moment just to the right of the real one.

It's at 7 seconds, you can see if the omega, 2 of 2 and the 11 marker

Please don’t blame me for the condition ... I’ve recently acquired it. Will create a separate post about it shortly.

After seeing some PRS45 posts on here, I decided to put mine on for the weekend, as I don't wear it enough.

Same as mine (the date that is), a flaw in the design imho. I can only be bothered to set the date if I’m planning on wearing for a few days or a trip. Lovely with that dial colour!

A flaw in the design in what sense? Does the date setting function on these work differently to standard or something?

  33. #2483
To set the date you have to advance the hour hand, so it takes a while to set if the date is way off. You can’t just move the date wheel if that makes sense.

Almost impossible to photograph this dial without it appearing black, one of my few attempts that kind of worked. Thank you afternoon sunshine.

The blue of that dial looks lovely. Hadn't really paid much attention to Fortis and haven't taken to pilot style watches as they tend to look the same. This is the exception that proves the rule, lovely details.
