    Another of my vintage watches...

...the Zenith Mistral quartz, circa 1980.
    Thanks Matt.

Ooo I like that. I love quartzes of that era, particularly the case shape.

Hi Mark, thanks for that. I met up with busmatt last spring and we went to an antique shop where he bought this and gave it to me. The guy is incredibly generous and we are often swapping watches, such fun!

This one is as you say a great shape, super slim (under 7mm.) and I like the early quartz too.

Less than fifty quid all in. Seiko 5's hard to beat for value (and cool factor!).

Brilliant, thanks for the info. I wasn't brought up in Bridgend, but moved to the area 1984ish. Had a few parties down POW camp back in the day.

Amazing weather today. My Monster 2nd gen looks superb. After all those years wearing various Seiko Divers, I still have can't believe the value for money this watch represents.

My first proper watch purchase in yesterday's London sunshine, taken on the new routemaster.

Couldn't be happier with the metro, and I've teamed it with a new Eulit perlon strap to dress it down a little.

Looking @Nixx. Really finding myself drawn to the black bay lately, even more so than subs. I love the lume on those hands, and the bronze accents.
