No sunshine here at all today, it's like a monsoon, even my garage is flooded!

The tapatalk app now appears to grey out the ‘done’ button, with a dark picture and black bars you have to guess it. Example here.

We should rename this thread "Watches in the gloom". Thick grey cloud on the North East coast.

Don't forget to get a pen out and do the, 'I can navigate using my watch' trick.

Pen in middle of dial and shuffle around until its shadow runs along the 12 o-clock mark. Halfway between shadow and the actual hour marker time is North.

Example; below is about time for a decent cappucino, say 8 am. Aligned watch so the sun's shadow runs along the 12 o-clock line and North is halfway between 8 am and noon, ie off in the direction of the 10 o-clock marker on the dial. Dead impressive, and much more fun than just putting 'Starbucks' into the sat-nav. Puts the owners of smart watches to shame because they generally can't see their built in compass display in blinding sunlight and polarised sunglasses.

Been on the beach, but it's only 18c and sort of 'misty.'
The Matt finish of the dial looks at it's best in the sun. So....not today.

I fitted one of those faceted crystals in it, that certainly adds something extra to it!
Dates to 1972, I could imagine Captain Koenig wearing one. 😀

It's referred to as the "Dime MD limited edition", according to my information a run of 50 watches especially made for a japanese lifestyle magazine. The case is supposedly RG plated but detailed information is hard to find, unless possibly one can read japanese which I cannot. It does not have a Seiko reference number.

This watch looks incredible thanks for sharing

This has not been off my wrist since it arrived. Long may the sun last, although it's Ireland and now I jinxed us so it will rain tomorrow.

    So light and comfy.
