Thank you Dave for organizing this.
I know it's a lot of hard work to keep track of everything and then you added a very nice watch on top.

    Hi Dave,

I have prize I'd like to add to the pot.

It's a brand new IPad mini retina case (Tabacco) from Saddleback leather. I'll take care of the postage to the winner.

^ really kind mitch, thank you.

I am having trouble collating all the photos into the opening post, I think this is basically because there is a limit on post size and it is exceeding this when I try to add them. I will try and collate all the pictures into a single fresh post and add them to the bottom of the thread sometime.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I'm in for this. I was in India just after the first quake and people I worked with were throwing a lot of effort into support; it'd be good to help.

I'm a bit late to the party but I'd like to be involved if possible.

I'd also like to throw my Glycine Combat Sub Quartz into the pot if that's ok with you Dave?

I'm starting to feel ashamed of my Sturmanskie. I'll throw in the pot my copy of "Breitling - The Book" too. It is in good condition, but not pristine. Postage covered by me naturally.

This is what I'm talking about

I recently bought this book, and I can say it is a book-and-a-half! And relatively uncommon (due the cost, I would imagine!!). Whoever wins that will be super-chuffed!

(shameless excuse to post another pic of my latest arrival!!)

This watch (a model 16570 Explorer II) comes with punched papers showing an A295XXX serial and dated October 1999; a stamped retailers guarantee with matching serial number; a Sanderson and Son business card (presumably where Dave-O bought it... and a very well-respected used Rolex dealer, I might add); hang tag and red chronometer seal; 2 spare links to the bracelet, making 12 in total excluding the funny ones attached to the clasp; and an aftermarket outer and inner box.

The watch itself is absolutely beautiful, and is certainly one of the best of this age that I've seen. Both the hour plots and hands have turned a beautiful creamy-yellow colour, and the dial is a perfect brilliant white. The case itself is sharp and virtually unmarked (you'll need a loupe to see anything, if indeed there are any marks) and the bezel has just the lightest rub near the 22 marker. The lugs are fat and sharp too, and all are in the condition shown in the photo... even the bracelet has just the lightest of rub marks on a couple of links (and the clasp is nice and tight).

Basically, this is a watch that I'd buy myself without hestitation, and I'm a right fussy b*stard.

    Great photos Tony as always.

I may be wrong here but by 1999 didn't the Explorers have luminova dials (as the submariner, GMT and Seadweller did)?

If so then this must be one of the very last Tritium dial Explorer IIs ever sold making it even more special!

Well, the serial number suggests a 1998 manufacture, so yes - one of the late tritium dials.

Not sure how I've managed to miss this but what an awesome gesture and response.
I'm in for £50 if I can, would also like to donate a prize.
Can't post a pic because it's at work but am happy to send a Pirelli Tyres jacket (men's size large), a Pirelli mug, F1 Pirelli baseball cap and a couple of other F1 bits to the winner, I'll cover the postage
