any ideas on where we are going wrong?hopefully thats not to muddled ,basically its the bit transferring the images to tz from photobucket that we are struggling with,
    thanks mel
Are you seeing something like this:

    styles/subsilver2/theme/images/site_logo.gif

If so, then you need the [img]and[/img] tags around it

    There are two problems:

    1. You're copying/pasting the HTML Code. You need to copy/paste the IMG Code.

    2. Your pictures are too big. They are 1024px × 768px - try re-sizing them to 800px x 600px. You can do that easily in Photobucket using the Edit option.

    Good luck!

Well I have tried and tried and did not get anywhere with posting a picture from my flikr account.

Could someone please explain how I might get the flikr pics up?

How I would do it is to get your picture up on flickr and then right mouse click on it, then select properties.

Where is says address URL: copy this information all of it from the start http all the way through to the .jpg
it should look something like this http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/423 ... ae15c4.jpg

When posting click Img above and paste the copied information between the img in brackets should look a bit like this

    [img]http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/4239048142_8b4dae15c4.jpg[img]

Click preview to see if it has copied ok

Re: A guide to posting pictures

As far as I can tell the major limit if hosting from somewhere like Photobucket is the image size in terms of pixels rather than disc space. I think it's 800 max either wide or high (which is a good call as on another board I frequent people keep putting up honking great images of over 2,000 pixels in width).

Re: A guide to posting pictures

A humble plead for increased picture sizes.

I love posting photos but most of mine are already processed 800 or 1024 size with 8 pixels total of frame so basically none of my hundreds of pictures fits (no, I rarely view linked images myself). For new pics I can of course make a small version or a thumbnail for TZ-UK.

Doesn't this BB software allow for horizontal scroll bar in individual messages so that it doesn't blow the whole page out of proportions?

Re: A guide to posting pictures

    Hi All

I wonder if someone could please offer some advice regarding the above. I have just uploaded a number of photos to Photobucket, unfortunately rather than showing the 3 or 4 file formats below each picture it's just showing 'Email & IM'. This only let's me post a link to the photo in TZ, what I was hoping to do was show the actual picture by copying the IMG code. I have trawled the menus in Photobucket, but cannot find a default setting which gives uploaded images an IMG code from outset - can anyone please help?

    Thanks.
