Great thread and some equally great old watches. For me, 'patina' is best when it is deep and crisp and even...here are a few of my deep and crisp and even ones...

Don't want to quote your entire post but some really, really splendid examples there.
This humble watch got me interested in watches at age 12 (1969). At the time, I thought it was the bee's knees.
And if you'll forgive me posting the Friday thread picture again - this is what 11erv has recently sold to me. That man has patina in spades!!!
