Very nice indeed. The Everest looks best on dark leather IMHO, but it needs to be tapered, which yours looks to be. Mine's been on a dark brown Titan CS from TSS from day one.

My Everest lives on one of these now, it looks the Dogs on it and is so comfortable!

I have an Everest and I love it. However, the crystal has developed a sort of mottled Mark. Could anyone help advise how yo get rid of it. Many thanks in advance & apologies if this is the wrong thread on which to ask the question.

  6. #156
    Wearing mine tonight.

    It's noisy.

I'm wearing it because it's noisy.

    It feels alive.

Polywatch has removed every mark I've ever had on mine. Do you know what caused it? Can you post a picture here?

Sorry don't know what's caused it. It looks a little like a water mark but it's been no where near water. Thanks for the advice I'll try the polywatch.

My advice, forego a few straps and save up for a Toshi for the Everest. One of the best suited leather straps for it. :)

Great straps - however, I found the one I had rather thick which added to the bulk of the Everest on my 6.75" wrist

I've had a few Toshi but find them a bit thick especially under the wrist and therefore too bulky to wear comfortably. My Pav strap is better than a Tosi IMO. I ordered the Di Modell because they're decent for the price.

    It certainly is.
Not that it will be heading back to SC any time soon. I've made that mistake once.

I'll have one tomorrow! Usually if a watch comes on a great bracelet I don't even think about changing it, but it looks so good on most other straps I'll definitely be trying something different. I should have added a couple of straps to my order.

I've had mine on a brown one of these from the day it arrived, the bracelet came straight off. For my taste it's just the right thickness and weight for the watch, and it's incredibly hard wearing. It's darkened down to a lovely deep chocolate colour that gives the watch a nice vintage look. I also sometimes put one of Eddie's Natos on for a change.

It can't be faulted. A design classic. Incredibly legible, simple dial, but not boring, ideal size, lovely finish, retro cool, well built, versatile re straps.

The bracelet is a nightmare as well with those double screw heads, took me several hours to remove a few links and get the size right. Not the easiest bracelet to work on, no wonder people favour straps and NATOs.

I managed the double ended screw set up but I've given up on getting the endlinks back on. It's like I need a watch vice and at least 4 hands before I break something..

I had one for five years and had re-fitting the bracelet down to a fine art. Get the bar in at one end, get the other end as close as possible then use the forked end of the spring bar tool to lever the bar into the hole. To check it's in right, drop your tool into the hole (ooh err) and make sure the tool and the bar look like they're in the same line.

I've bought another Everest literally five minutes ago

If I get one end of the spring bar in it's hole the end link is too tight a fit to get between the lugs, there's literally no clearance

I took the bracelet off mine as soon as I received it. It's been on dark brown leather or a Nato ever since.

My new one arrived today and it's stunning. Does anyone know whether the later models have slightly shorter / smaller end links? I could never wear mine on the bracelet (it was from the very first batch) as all I could see was end links but this one allows me to see bracelet links falling away top and bottom of my wrist.

I'll defo be wearing this one on the bracelet.

Thanks Sean and yours does look like this one. My other one just didn't go at all on the bracelet as the end links, whether due to form or fit, were massive.

Could be that the watches you've worn in between times (esp. the Bulova?) have changed your perceptions somewhat, and the PRS-25 just doesn't seem that large now.

Whatever the case, it's good news because it looks great on the bracelet and gives you another option.
