Three rare arrivals, and a group shot

I posted this on the incoming thread on WT, but it belongs here too. Had three nice deliveries this week

    Precista Thin case from '84
CWC mechanical chrono with BBC markings
    CWC Fatboy 'navigator' from '81

    The rear..

And a group shot, front & back

    Lovely

I have a Precista & the chrono is stunning & a classic shape but that Fatboy Navigator is something I've coveted for years.

    Great trio, well done.

The rest are great too !

Very jealous, hoping to get a 80 fat boy soon. I'd love a Navigator but I only collect W10's so unfortunately it's a no go.
A Precista would fit in my collection nicely too

If it's not too intrusive a question, what's the going rate for a 1981 Fat Case Navigator, nowadays?

Dunno! I spotted this one on eBay, newly listed.. Did a little reading on the issue numbers (only about 1000 I think) Made an offer which was accepted and the rest is history :-)

Seen and ill have a bid, hopefully it doesn't get too competitive with people off here. I've not seen a Precista come up on ebay in a while either

I sold one of the non-date G10 models in 2008 for $90. The Navigator date versions are harder to find, though.

I also have a thin cased Precista from 1984. I believe they were only produced in that single year, and 1600 were made/issued. Mine is also a 6BB, I don't know if they all were.

That sounds like a good week's work to me. If you don't mind my asking, where in the world did you unearth that BBC chrono?

I have one too... based on the research I did when I acquired mine, you are correct: The '84 Precistas were all 6BB numbered. I also have an '82 Precista, which was the only other year that a G10-style Precista was issued. That one has a much fatter case and is numbered W10, as I believe they all were. Two different branches ordering a batch of watches in two different years, is the best explanation I've heard.

So the '82 and '84 which I have are correctly marked? That's good to hear!

All 3 were from eBay... I check regularly for certain items, obviously Precista & CWC are easily found with patience but the chrono was listed as 'C W C', not 'CWC', I think I just happened to drop lucky with it. Ive found that I find more interesting pieces when I'm looking for something completely different!

I must admit I'm intrigued by the BBC markings, the isn't a lot of info about these online

If anyone has more info I'd love to hear it

Is that Navigator S/N 913/81? I can't quite read the first digit.

    Mine is 935/81

    Yep it's 913, I'll upload a better pic tomorrow

Nice pic of yours.. There's something about the non-oval logo and date window that's just 'right' isn't there?

I totally agree the date & non oval logo combined with the heavier case, look superb, far nicer IMO than the later CWC GS2000 type with a date window.

That looks just lovely! I got myself a GS2000 to tide myself over but the dial on these original navigators is just stonkingly nice!
