Anyone have the new gulfman?
I love the ridiculous bright ones. They are like the watch version of Lamborghinis!
A very quick and very dirty iPhone snap of my new arrival. I am, needless to say, ecstatic.
Thanks! One of the new flagship models, MRG-G1000D-1A

I've got quite a hankering for one of these -
Well I finally caved and got a G-shock. I've always been firmly in the Suunto camp when it comes to digitals, but wanted something smaller and less clumpy for the gym than my Core or Vector. Don't need ABC functions in the gym, just a countdown timer with the ability to survive a few knocks and a dunking in the pool. This arrived today and I'm just in love with how simple it is...
Haha, yep, agree. I have my eye on a bright green or maybe orange one next.. They are a bit of fun and an ideal weekend\holiday watch. Some of them are a bit too bright for me though..
I have the red one as above - great for the money and like how the white one looks a bit 'space age'
Nice, is that the 5600 ? I quite fancy a square at some point.
Brought back some great memories, had one of these in my time, struggled a wee bit with the negative display owing to my middle aged eyesight but great looking, minimalist classic design. Only lighter G I ever encountered was the carbon fibre GWS5600, an example of which has just been transacted on SC recently. 47g, literally featherweight on the wrist. How do you use the dive time function on an 8000 series Froggy?
Wow, 47g! That's a good 5g lighter than a G10 on NATO.
I'm pretty pleased with the negative display on mine. The contrast is actually more vivid than my Core when viewed straight on, although the Core maintains its legibility better as you start to angle the face...
Head-on the core is grey on black whereas the G is a starker 'almost-white' on black:
As you move at an angle the Core keeps its grey on black contrast longer whereas the G becomes somewhat browner and less distinct:
Today is a GA-100 day.
I have been admiring all the Frogman's on the thread, but I had never seen one in the flesh let alone tried one on.
So when one appeared on SC this week, I thought it was time to check one out.
it is a absolutly fantastic watch, of a far higher quality than I had expected. I own a fair few G -Shocks including a few JDM and made in Japan models. The frogman is very comfortable to wear for such a large watch and I am really pleased with it.

Great catch pastrana72 :-)
Thanks!
This G-Shock has given me as much satisfaction as any watch I've ever had. I couldn't be happier with it, it's just a perfect watch for work.
So, despite a decent WTB response, was unable to snag a positive display Rangeman in time for hols next week, so now the proud owner of:
my first 7900 G in years of acquisition. Very impressed by display legibility, weight and most of all comfort - those 'wing' attachments under strap lugs make a huge difference. Can't beat a white G for summer/stag do duties.
