    That's a beauty Andrew!

Word on the street says there's a new rangeman coming out soon. Looks like something that I actually really need (want).

This is probably my 3rd or 4th, so will it last?
Just tried the alarm. I would say it was ok - neither extremely loud nor quiet.
    It would wake me up.

Yes, there appears to be several new versions on the way
Not sure whether this is good or bad!

Another shot of the Froggy, which appears to have very keen AEL - a plus to me.

Next job is to fit the Combi bracelet to the GW-5000.

    Thanks, that is reassuring

Easier on a metal case I suspect - it’s a fiddle on a 5610, even using the ‘alternative’ springbars

I feel like I should apologise for hogging this thread today.

Took the rubber strap off the GW-5000

    That was surprisingly easy!

I found getting one side of the bracelet on relatively easy too, but the other side......
    Got there in the end.

The GW-5000 is a stunning watch, but adding the Combi bracelet makes it even better.

It is indeed. Did you know that an American gentleman over on WUS was so enamoured of his GW-5000 that he sold his Sub, as the G-Shock did everything he needed? That's taking it too far! The GW-5000 can do many things brilliantly but being a Sub is not one of them.

Marking our 9th wedding anniversary by wearing a watch given to me by my wife (that should be a suitable celebration of the occasion, right?)

I love how comfortable this watch is on the wrist. Doesn’t fit easily under a sleeve, but why hide it?

Good stuff D_D - I've not had much interest in G's (saving the wallet...) but look forward to your thoughts. Guess I have to continue living with my minimalist 10 G collection

It is a Mudmaster GWG-1000DC. I suspect that DC is Desert Camo.

I need me one of those...

Added another Rangeman to my small G-gang by (almost) accident today.
A colleague spotted my Mudmaster last week and wanted to upgrade by selling his Rangeman and then buy a BNIB Mudmaster. So of course I helped him along his watch journey by buying his Rangeman (and helping him find a good deal on his new Mudmaster).

    Incoming

I have my first ana-digi incoming, the G-Shock 35th Anniversary Big Bang GA835A-1A.

I was swithering about this one but I wanted an ana-digi that was not the size of a dinner plate, nor over-loaded with ABC functions that I would never require. I was impressed by the following points: every YouTube review I've seen of the GA8xx series show the seconds hand hitting the markers, the quick access to the stop watch is a nice feature, I like the understated looks of this model, with that nice splash of red and the final decider was the ability to swap home and dual time modes between the hands and digi display.

I managed to find an eBay seller from HK who had one at a good price. I'll likely be hit for VAT when it arrives but it should still work out cheaper than buying from some of the UK online watch shops.

    Thanks Andrew,

I'm looking forward to it arriving. It's part of the 35th Anniversary Big Black Bang range, which includes the fantastic looking and fantastically expensive GW-5035A-1 - a blacked out GW-5000. I'd like one of those but will content myself with the DW-5600HR as my "poor man's" negative 5000.

Coincidentally I am also a fan of that watch, with the red inside the band looking very cool.
If I see one at the right price, I shall be bagging one

Please post some pics after arrival :-). Have been looking at the same one (and default GA 800) for some time as well.
