A G-Shock in yellow is an absolute classic look for me. Just a few bits of red goes perfect too, to complete the look.
    Very nice indeed.

In case anyone isn't aware, fwupow channel on youtube is always worth a look. He does probability the most exhaustive and pragmatic reviews of g shocks I've seen. Each review is about half an hour long and goes through all the functions etc. The reviews are all a few years old, there is alot of unrelated content on there as well, search for 'fwupow g shock' just to get the watch stuff
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

    Thanks for that!

In the photo it looks a little bigger that in real life for some reason.
I just received it from Rakuten, which by the way I would recommend if anyone is wondering.

    Best,

    Jon.

Want to get a G-shock, I do a fair bit of outdoor stuff & sport - but there's so many to choose from! Ideally would want to spend under £100, any recommendations gents?

I’d go for the classic square GW-M5610 personally. Have a look...

Cheers, I had looked at that one funnily enough. Is there a set of spec that they all have ie same WR, all the same world time, timer functions etc or does it vary from watch to watch?

Try a good look around here.....

Not sure of the different model designations atm, but they start off battery powered, progress to solar and atomic sync for the mid range and top off with the Japan made high end model. GW-M5610 is the middle of the range, solar and atomic sync and about £80 on Amazon atm. Can’t go wrong...

So many. But I like the classic look of the 5600. I have a GW-M5610-1ER. It has its shortcomings (buttons are a little fiddly to press, strap isn’t the best of the GShocks) but it’s timeless, solar powered, atomic (is that the word)

Around £80/90 on Amazon. £100 in Argos if you can’t contain yourself.

Yeah of course .. there will be a lot of hype and anticipation prior this day amongst the G Shock community I guess. Not sure when will be the next one in case you miss 30.6. 2019..

Here some other news .... New Rangeman model on the horizon ( April 2018 ) around 800 USD

Oh my goodness, I didn’t need to see that ^^^^
Looks superb. You can just never have too many features on a G.
Unfortunately the manuals are becoming absolutely ridiculous in size!

Enjoying my new square, the GW-S5600 with carbon fibre strap and titanium fittings. Solar and atomic in a 47gm watch, love it.
