deepsea_dweller - love those Kobe City Fire Bureau GW-9400FBJ-4JR Rangeman watches - shame the exciting coloured versions don't usually make an appearance on the UK/EU market - not sure why ......

The most interesting G's seem to be JDM watches. Always available to import, if you pay the associated import fees.

Here is my final G-Shock arrival for a bit. I replaced my subtle Men in Camouflage Frogman, with something a little brighter.
Perfect for brightening up a dull Winter's day.

Andrew, Do you have any recommendations for Japanese outlets please? Seiyajapan gets good recommendations but he doesn't seem to stock the more vibrant JDM G-Shock variants. Cheers, Mantaray

I tend to buy off eBay.
Find a seller with loads of sales (at least a few thousand) and an excellent feedback rating eg 99.5% or more.
Then expect to pay 20% VAT plus a £13.50 handling fee, before you get your watch.
Ordering to delivery seems to be 10-14 days.
    Hope that helps.

    Thank you - much appreciated.

    Hello from my Yellow Peril!

I think that you have caught the colour more accurately than my photo above.
Mine looks a bit banana but it actually looks more like your stronger yellow (almost the tiniest hint of orange too). A great looking watch.

Love the yellow Frogs, been tempted! I use shoppinginjapan.net as well, good service, but have also used random sellers on Rakuten Japan with no issues.

The Frogman is great in Yellow. Works a treat on a true diving G-Shock.
Despite saying I wouldn't, I have just ordered another G (although not a JDM one) and found Amazon.fr cheaper (by about 20%!) than anywhere else.
Used Amazon.fr previously, for non-watch items, and the whole experience is like using Amazon.co.uk, although the site is obviously in French. If you are familiar with Amazon, it is easy to follow the same steps, even being a non-French speaker

Mine is a mod. I bought a knackered old frog from the bay, black strap and bezel were seriously wwabi tastic. Sourced some genuine bits from the bay and popped them on. So has the look but not the providence!

But hey, it does look the part!

Cracking colour! I recently got the camo frogman and it's fantastic. Yours on SC I sat a bargaintastic price!

Thanks a lot. Yellow really works well on a G-Shock.
Congratulations on the Men in Camouflage Frogman, that watch is a stunner.

The Frogman ^^^^ has to be the best of the Men in Purple Sunrise range

I tried the Rangeman, and it just wasn't for me.
Upon further reading I discovered something interesting about the colour. As most people know, within the Casio code for a watch, the colour is specified ie
GW-M5610-1ER the 1 of 1ER means the watch is black
    GLS-8900-2ER the 2 means blue

Interesting that the Men in Purple Sunrise are not actually coded 6, which is in fact Purple. The Rangeman is GW-9400SRJ-4JF.
The number 4 is used for orange, red or pink, and this watch is clearly not orange or red.

    Quirky stuff from Casio.
