I’m immoderately excited today - my spare bezel and bracelet came back from Tempus Watch Mods. I’d asked Paul for a cerakote job: Combat Grey over Aluminium so he could do one of his “battle worn” finishes.

It’s come out absolutely brilliant. Clearly nonsensical wearing it with a suit, but hey.

You inspired me Rob! Decided to go a little more aggressive on the finish, but am loving it, sort of looks like some form of sci-fi prop.

Toying with getting another done in coyote tan, but concerned it might look a bit ‘walt’

Paul at Tempus was great to deal with & answered all questions I had promptly, and also put up with me changing my mind daily on colours & level wear before finally deciding.

Certainly not going to be last cerakote G.

A rare sight. GW7900-MS. I miss mine although I get to see it being worn by the mate I sold it to every now and then when times permit. He's the guy who buys a few of your old favourites and then reminds you that you regret selling them in the first place.

They're growing on me as well, think it will be my next purchase after looking at them in this thread.

I'll have to wait until it's normal to go to the shops again and see if I can look at one for real, definitely like them, but don't know if I can read one.

Need to get myself a positive 5000, seem to be wearing the negative with battle finish every day.

Solar charging seems slow & power usage not as low as my riseman being the only negative I can see. I bloody love them.

Thinking about getting Paul to do me a cerakote in coyote tan next.

Resin strap came today and swapped onto gshock all metal. Watch feels so much lighter..pain in nuts to swap out strap. You need two fine screw drivers to unscrew endlinks

There are many avid and hardcore G collectors out there, some probably have more screwback squares than I have total amount of all kind of G’s. Although I do have what is probably an unusually large amount of contemporary MRG models.

Nope.
The MTG lug design and me do not get along so well so in fact I do not have a single MTG model.

Fit and finish is pretty good, I’m impressed! Totally transforms the watch, so much lighter too.

I must resist the camo Ti version. Is it possible to buy the bezel only?
