These look really good - and the easily swappable strap looks clever, although I’m not sure how strong a regular springbar is compared to a regular g shock? Unless the ‘carbon core’ makes the case the lug holes are drilled into ‘as hard as steel’?

A lot of the basic g shock models use standard 16mm spring bars so it's as good as that I guess.

Nothing fancy involved. Standard looking, quick release 24mm spring bars.

It'll take a NATO though and an Erika's original...

Edit: The lugs are actually part of the plastic backplate. If you take it off (4 screws) you expose a normal (blank) g shock metal case back and the strap goes with the rear cover

    Terrible pic time :

ACG - thanks for the info. Mine should be arriving tomorrow and I'm rather excited to see what it's like!

I love the look and feel but I've been trying to set the time for five hours and still haven't done it 😡

Found it pretty similar to most other g shocks.

Hold down top left and go through the steps. Just make sure home city is set to London

Just sorted it and the home city wasn't set to London which caused the issue.

I love all three straps with the green canvas being my favourite.

Picked up this little shiny thing when passing through Heathrow T5.

The Gold was a bit too much bling for my taste!

Haven't tried that strap yet. It went straight onto a NATO and I don't see it coming off it

I think this might be the perfect G-Shock for me!

Size and shape are perfect and the variety of straps that come with is excellent. It'll also take natos as ACG said above so all-in-all a pretty perfect G.

Serendipitously, the straps fit and suit my diver - bonus!

That's the combo for me. Very nice indeed, can you enlighten us on the strap? And BTW I also love that phone case. Sadly Vans don't make one for my Huawei.

The green canvas strap came with the watch and is very nicely woven material.

I loved the Vans case too, it's for an old iPhone 4s my youngest uses.

Not new but they are rare to see in the wild (at ADs) IME.
    It’s a GWN-Q1000MC-1A: https://www.g-central.com/g-shock-gu...omposite-band/

Thanks mate - also looks as if it has a rather cool micro adjustment as well!

I thought my G disease was cured with the D1000, but this is an interesting variant plus I really should try the full metal G now.....

I am feeling I need another G shock. Was planning to buy this today but got busy with something else.
I want it but am not sure if this or a Mudmaster. This is a bit radical.

Well the mudmaster doesn't sit nicely on my wrist so an easy choice for me, though I think it’s going to need to go and get bead blasted. Maybe some strap adapters too.

it feels very nice. Heavy but not stupid heavy. Great negative display too, my first with the stn display

I’ve always liked the simplicity of this G Shock. I’ve the original version (plastic/rubber/whatever it’s made from) it’s fantastic!
