New GW-7900, great watch but not sure if it's a keeper as a bit smaller than I was expecting.

So my D1000 has been rather neglected - I frankly don’t get on too well with the carbon strap. I’m always in between hole sizes and the metal keeper just pulls hair. So I decided to get a jay and kay conversion. Such an improvement on the rhino strap! I’ve also ordered a Barton rubber which I think will be a better match. It’ll definitely be getting more wear from now on!

I just bought a GW M5610 and was underwhelmed by the size of it, past g shocks have been quite chunky and robust, but this one was on the small side and dainty relatively.

I still want a square g shock, can anyone recommend a slightly chunkier and bigger size version - nothing too big mind

Really like that, now thinking of getting one!

I see it’s meant to release in Europe too. I wonder when though...

I was the same as you, very underwhelmed by the size of the 5610 (really wanted to like it but just too small for me). I've gone back to a GX56 again but they are quite large. Something in-between, size wise, would be great.

The DW-5500 could be worth a look.

I think the standard Dw-5600’s wear a little larger than the 5610, plus any of the metal cased screwback versions of the 5600 series are a little thicker and obviously quite a lot heavier. There’s also the Gw5000 metal cased version of the 5610 (still with resin case and strap) - plus the full metal versions which wear larger. I have 7 3/4 inch wrists and find the GX56 just silly big with a tiny display sadly

Does anyone have a G Mudmaster and skinny wrists? I've got a 6.5" wrist and am concerned I'll be walking around the lake district looking like Flava Flav!?!

My Barton rubber has arrived! And it’s turned the Froggy into something that is actually wearable! Very happy chap.

First Gshock. Bought for the weekends but since fitting a proper rubber strap I’m wearing it full time at the moment.

Wow loving the strap, can I ask which strap it is?

Yes it’s a nice strap - I bought it after seeing a recommendation somewhere here a few years ago and it’s been sitting in the strap drawer waiting for the right watch to come along.
    It’s a Bonetto cinturini 314 in 22mm - quite widely available.
I’m also using a 16-22 strap converter from jays and Kays.
    Kev

Strap is a good colour and texture match for my g-shock

Definitely the best square G-Shock there is, possibly the best G of all.

This one arrived today. Still undecided if I'll keep it or send it back, so not connected to the app yet to set the time

The size is nice (trumpeted as the thinnest G-steel so far at just under 13mm) and I like the slightly futuristic look, but I'm not sure about the 'tails' to the hands - when they're aligned (ie; 9:15) the hour hand is obscured quite a bit by the minute tail, which seems a bit overlooked by the design team.

**Updated** Here's a quick snap to show what I mean (better example pic added)

It's enough that I think I might have to send it back
