Understand re the TZ display, I absolutely cannot stand multi-date windows but for some reason the tri-TZ display does not bother me... The strap is absolutely top of the line compared to the various offerings I have tried from all kind of brands over the years, does not pick up any dust/lint at all despite the surface pattern.

The fact that you can have the date in DDMM due to it being Bluetooth makes it 10x better. Only thing I've ever used the app for and deleted it after.

You know that you don't need the app to set it to DDMM? :-)

Yes, but I found the Bluetooth option much easier on mine. Have since deleted the app as no need for it now. I think main benefit of Bluetooth on a G-Shock for me it it will always have the ability/option for DDMM

Ah, ok. :-)

On the B5600 models it's simply one of the options in the normal time set mode.

I agree... I think for the money they are great value.

I’m still happy putting this through its paces.

Very happy so far... menus are a little tedious and a few others have commented on the same thing. Hopefully sorted with updates... but so far so good.

Just a quick update - I’ve decided this watch just isn’t for me and will be selling soon. Reasons? Well, I find the notifications really annoying to access and the text on the screen just too tiny to make that element useful. I’m also not a fan of having a watch ‘connected’ to my phone (I have an Apple Watch I also hardly ever use, should have known!) - and the step counter and fitness elements are not something I’m likely to use as I also find the screen too hard to read (I’m in my early 50’s so that may be a factor)!
On the positive, the main time screen is incredibly legible, the watch is light and comfortable - but I will wait for a more ‘basic’ watch with a MIP display

I did a module swap on my blackout Rangeman this morning, I purchased a standard GW9400 for the donor module but I think they both look better than factory. I was planning on selling the black/red one but I really like how it turned out, I'm now getting some black bezel screws to finish it off... now to try and justify having two of the same watch.
