On this version it can be changed which is a bonus as i didn't know that before i bought it.

I've been very tempted by this one too, congratulations on acquiring it. It's the nearest thing to a modern DW5600C (apart from the gold accents of course) although I'm not entirely convinced by the screen effect they have applied to the display. Regardless, it may be one for the future... :) Enjoy it!

I’ll be interested to hear whether you can find one.
Mine came from Korea, and then via the US!

I like that Andrew, the orange highlights are wicked (I heard Jamie Oliver say it and had to throw it in)!

It’s limiting it to only one that is a problem.

Totally impossible to do. Although I’m not sure whether that’s good or bad?!

Picked this up in Japan, love it. Mid sized and looks similar to the premium range.

It depends on where the watch is within the house.
Some places they rarely update, other places they usually update (95%), and then anywhere in between....
Perhaps we are on the edge of coverage, but we also have a huge mountain range (The Cairngorms) just to the South of us.

Andrew, how many Gs do you own? You seem to have a vast collection unless you’re selling them off on a regular basis. I love the idea of having a variety but based in an office I only wear my Riseman evenings and weekends - need more variety!

I am certain there are others on here with many more than me.
Think I am up to 22.
Often think about selling one or two, but never get around to it!

    Any thoughts on the GBA-800?

Been looking at them online today as I’m thinking of getting one for running. The programmable countdown timer would be useful for interval training, built in step counter too

Fairly central part of Stockholm for what it’s worth.
My Mudmasters seem to synch every night wherever I put them, Rangemen almost every night but the Froggys are a bit more hit and miss it seems.

    Just in yesterday …

I've never been a G-Shock fan, until now. Took about two minutes to work out the functions and I was away. And I was loving the tilt-activated backlight last night

Edit: Just noticed the lack of RCVD on the screen last night, but all good this morning:

I'm sure. I did the research and the GW-5000 was the only logical choice. I think I got a good deal on this but I might try a 5600 later on just to compare.

The 5600s are great, but you’ll never top your GW-5000

I have a 5000 on a composite and it's a great watch, I dearly want a negative display one but they're like hen's teeth and priced to match.

You could try a 5600HR on a combi. No solar/atomic but it is a lot less expensive and just as good looking.
