    Thank you!

It was a birthday gift of like 5/6 years ago :D

I loved it at first sight :D

Schwing! That's a perfect dial for the ice and snow due this week. Love it.
I've just found that it's a MTG-G1000RS-2AJF and was right to assume that with GPS and MTG on the dial it's not going to be in the same price bracket as a DW5600-E :)
Solar, atomic sapphire and GPS - very tasty indeed.

    Thank you very much.
Being honest, I bought it thinking that I’d just give it a go, but since it arrived this morning it has really got me smitten. The variations in dial colour are hard to capture, but are very nice gentle hints and hues.
I have had other versions of this watch previously, but this version really is special.
Expect further photos in the future!

    Ah, so you bought it!

Having purchased your old MTG, sold it, then purchased it again, before selling again, I saw this and couldn’t buy it, I just don’t wear it.

When/if you do sell it, even if I beg, please don’t sell it to me! That dial really looks amazing, as does the new textures to the case.

    Enjoy!

Ha! I’d love it, but a waste to use it for setting my other watches. If I had the wrists, I’d wear it all the time, as love the style.

To be fair, selling the MTG and a tuna funded the UX, which has not been off my wrist since it arrived, so know I made the right choice.

    Maybe....

Just won this on eBay for £27.29, brand new, boxed etc. Anyone any experience of this model?

^^^^ It is a nice and clear, basic G-Shock.
I had the blue version some time ago. Looks like you got a bargain

Yeah the seller is a watch retailer of some sort, they auction this model and the blue version every few days. I missed out with a bid for £40 last week, but all's well that ends well I suppose. Haven't researched the model but hey it's a G-Shock for 27 quid.

The only watch that seems to last being totally abused and cleaned in paraffin to get the oil off.

So it arrived within 48 hours, my first G-Shock, brand new and boxed - won on eBay for £27. Looks good so far - just need to work out how to use it!

Showing off my custom GLX-5500 with an Alife G-5500 bezel and a generic G-5500 strap. I'm super happy with how it came out - the GLX with the most functionality completely tamed down, with only the orange buttons to give it some character, but otherwise very inconspicuous and a great daily wearer:

I own two G’s, both bought from the same “enabler” Andrew Cregan!! Popped this one on today for a shopping trip into town.

It doesn’t help the urge not to buy more when he sends pics of new arrivals!

    Great looking watch my friend
Perhaps now isn’t the time that I should mention that I am awaiting on 3 arrivals!

No, probably not! I’m trying to resist the urge to buy a Seiko at the moment!

I think it looks great too, overall.
This Casio image possibly highlights how small the screen is?

It makes me wonder whether this is why there are presently only reverse screen options?

Looking forward to seeing yours, and further great photos.

My first G-Shock, first outing today following wearing it to the gym last night. Really enjoying it, especially the way it illuminates when you bring your wrist up to look at it in low light! Cracking watch.

Very interesting observation Andrew - I wonder why it is that small? I was also thinking why we aren't seeing any positive displays, I fall in/out of love with negative ones.

Hope the old one won't be retired - what's G-Shock history regarding new model replacements?

I'm sure G-Shock aficionados will buy them but otherwise will be up against Garmin and others with more GPS functionality (ability to store routes, apps etc), pairing with HRM, phones and other devices.

That’s to andrewcregan I now have this GW5000 on my wrist.

You can tell the difference between this and the M5610.

Thanks, I would say you won’t regret it but you know how good they are!

I heard a beeping the first night I had the watch at around 12am and I was like what’s that noise and then realised it was the watch. I’ve head people mention the alarm is quiet but it woke me up lol.
