My very lovely Casio which, as of yesterday, is sitting on a shelf because I purchased a Breitling unitime. But I do love this watch.

After my Rangeman went out the door, for being just a bit to unmanageable for me, I was interested to read another thread where the Riseman was spoken of so highly.

I won this one on Ebay and it arrived yesterday (along with a new Citizen). It looks a bit tatty around the bezel and I have ordered a new one, along with a strap, not sure if it will be a genuine Casio or not when it gets here.

I took the bezel and rear cover off to give it a clean, and boy, did it need it! There was half a playing-fields worth of mud, and stuff I don't even want to know what it was, under there!

Here it is before he gets his new clothes.

The case back looks a bit hacked, it must have been the previous owner/s trying to scrape the crud out from under the cover. Made in Japan apparently, I expected it to be made in Thailand.

    Looks good

I just checked mine and likewise am surprise to see that its a Japanese one - I had assumed it was from somewhere else

As a matter of interest, where did you order your new bezel and strap from?

I ordered the bezel from ebay, I think it comes from Poland, and with delivery is approx £15; the strap is from WatchbatteryUKltd around £14 delivered.

I will post up here once it all arrives and the collective can decide if they are the real McCoy or not.

I must have the exact same items in my watch list on eBay! Mine's mint, but I thought it might be prudent to tuck some spares away while they are available. I'll be interested to hear when yours arrive if they're genuine ok.

Oh... and my Riseman is a Thailand caseback.

Does it come with the 'sensor' logo / insert?

I don't think is does, it isn't shown in the listings I have seen. It will give me something to do for a few days, trying to track one down!

Its not part of the sensor - its a small plate that fits into the recess in the bezel moulding that sits above the sensor

If you look at the Ticktox listing for the bezel its mentioned specifically

They don't have any in stock

  24. #1824
The strap is a decent price from TikTox http://www.tiktox.com/gw-9200.html

Think I might just tuck a few spares away in a drawer, since this one's no longer available.

Pacparts will have the sensor decal in stock. However, they are based in the USA and every order I've had from them attracts import duties. Shipping isn't cheap either, but they do have some stuff cheaper than tiktox and also some stuff you can't get from Keith.

You're welcome. Easiest to search using the code for the watch, e.g. "GW9200" and then click on the relevant Riseman in the list. Some items may not be in stock for which there is a 1-2 week lead time. Therefore, if you are ordering a range of stuff, some in stock, some not, always take the option of having it all delivered in one go when all of the items ordered are ready to be shipped. That way, you only pay the £17 or so shipping fee once.

I need to go to the RM depot tomorrow to pay the import duties (£18.53 including processing fee) and collect a package from Pacparts. I ordered quite a few items to the value of about £50, but even then, the overheads are high. My first order from Pacparts was for about £100 of stuff and it didn't seem so bad, but then I ordered a load of stuff I may never use such as Riseman buttons, eyes etc in different colours.

Ive ordered a couple of the sensor logos as I cant see them available from other sources

Straps and bezels seem fairly easy to get hold of in various colours

My OCD couldn't cope with fitting a new bezel without the logo

I rather fancy a white one

I fully agree about the sensor decal on the Riseman. Same goes for the bezel screws/rivets on the Rangeman.

I got a white Riseman bezel and strap from Tiktox and think that Keith will be getting more in stock. I've never tried Casio themselves, but you can get most Riseman parts you will need from either Tiktox, Pacparts or eBay. Availability of bezels and straps for the rarest LE colours are another matter though.

My Riseman complete with new clothes (less the sensor logo - both replacement bezels arrived without it).

    Looks great all the same.

Thanks Velorum, I have to agree, it isn't too bad at all. I contacted Keith and the "sensor" logo sticker will be in the mail to me soonest. Can't fault that really.

It does look okay without the sensor decal. However, it would always bother me that it isn't there.

BTW the sensor decal is cheaper from Pacparts than from Tiktox, not including shipping and import duties.

Feels significantly different to me - more heft, more of a quality feel

OK I know that its nearly 5 times more to buy than the 5600 but at just under £300 - including tax etc - I still think that its a good buy

    It's certainly the classic "G".

I've my eye on one of these (the left hand one) ... which apparently weigh next to nothing! About £180+import. No screw down back like your 5000 - its basically a 5600 in a translucent case with an over priced strap!
