Oh dear..... the bug is biting again. Do I need two? Of course not LOL. This Topic strikes me as a nice friendly and understanding environment for WIS with a 'Shock inclination.

Green one today

Arrived today thanks to Mark and Vinnie.
My first G-Shock. Have absolutely loved treating it terribly in the garden all afternoon, without a second thought.
Genuinely believe that for my lifestyle, this for most times, and my daytona taking on just best duties from now on. Could be a complete and compact collection. All I need surely?
Black+White, Analogue and Digital, Metal and Rubber. So it goes on.
But then again that would be sensible and rational.
Something that neither I, or this new found hobby seem to be.........
Congrats Holy Moses

Welcome Holy Moses, a great G and great combo.
A new one for me today.... Can you tell the time?
Ah, here we go (does my wrist look small in this? LOL)...
My God that looks amazing. Not a very useful post, I know, but a honest one. Hopefully Casio put out a model *just* like that (and without the BT BS if at all possible), and they're guaranteed to make a lot of people happy to spend a lot of money.
Interesting modification. Casio have released a matt gold version to save people having to do this to their highly polished version.
It looks a professional job, I'm guessing the outer case and bracelet removed and sandblasted rather than a rub with a block of Gerryflex.
Have you also got another silver version in original state or was this a huge leap of faith.
Not sure I could do it.
What a trio. I have the silver just wish I got the black!!

Basically yes. A UK based guy on e-bay had two untouched sets and I haggled away. I managed to knock £200 off his starting position, but still paid a high price.
Since then very few have been listed and the asking prices have climbed, so who knows if I did the right thing, but like others, when I saw the pics of it I just had to have one.
I have to say it is the class act of the three, it looks stunning in the flesh and I have had a few compliments on it. I also had to pay a premium to get the gold.
I have a theory that there is a small band of guys on e-bay who seem to have access to virtually everything. Are they insiders. The guy I bought the gold off has listed at least 5 now, so draw your own conclusions.
So for anyone interested the kolor gshock is £599 from the london
gshock shop tomorrow - ouch !
If I had the spare money I would have done the same. Have a friend who has a friend who works at G Shock who was trying to get me the black but it never happened in the end. Maybe he sold it to you at a profit? Ha.
But it does look great and I don't blame you for paying a premium.

I didn't at the time, had a few hundred in the Watch fund, but took a conscious decision to buy the gold and Porter whilst I still could with what was in effect borrowed money and then sell my Speedmaster Moonphase to replace the money. A little extreme, but it worked.
Thank you, the numbers appearing second hand are really slimming down now, so I would advise anyone interested to go for it whilst you can. When they first came out you could buy them with a 100% mark up, but now you would have to pay closer to £3k.
Still worth it in my opinion.
The boat has long since sailed, so the choice is easy, pay the current going rate or admire from a distance.
As a comparision, I bought a Speedmaster Silver Snoopy for £8.5k and the 'I wouldn't pay a penny over list' brigade thought I was mad. The last one listed in the UK was £21k for a £4.5k watch. If only I had kept it.
Out of interest, go on the Timeless website and there are several G-Shocks with a list over £3k.
I’d be more interested without the Bluetooth
It's just a matter of time...
Great weekend everyone

The bluetooth is a nice extra but its not a compulsory part
of the watch - you dont lose anything by not using it.
Its nicely implemented and makes
it easy to sync the time or swap timezones.
As its still solar powered you dont feel like its a drain having it active.
Certainly a cheaper option to breitlings solution :)
If anyone is going today and can pick up a second I would be very grateful. Equally if anyone buys one and doesn't feel the love, give me a shout.
It is a PITA that you can only buy in person from the Carnaby Street store when I live 250 miles away. I have phoned before and they refuse to do mail order.
I am the same. Gutted I missed out because of where I live. Online ballot or order would have been better. They even deleted an instagram post expressing my displeasure.
Anyone in London who can get one I am happy to bung in a donation to the fundraiser for your service.
