A watch that is the complete opposite of the blingy full metal watches, but it works well. The strap is extremely comfortable and the reverse display is surprisingly clear and a little flash of Red is always welcome.
Very nice indeed :) I'd be very tempted to put a GW-5000 bezel and strap on that one, in order to preserve the 35 anniversary bezel and strap which can show up lint and can mark up quite easily, if my GA835 is anything to go by.

I do have a spare bright red GW-5000 bezel and strap which would look absolutely horrible on it. I think part of the attraction is in the name, the 'Big Bang Black' representing complete nothingness before the universe - all very deep. Casio claim to have sprinkled it with non reflective fairy dust and it works as such, absolutely nothing even in strong sunlight.

It is extremely comfortable and has a sort of velvety type texture to it. I think it needs to be worn and enjoyed.

My GWM -5000B turned up today, super pleased with it. I never picked up a GW-5000 as I wanted a negative display but they were very hard to source even in Japan.

I have a M5610 BC which was my work watch for years and is now my 14 year old son’s watch.

I wanted a screw back Japan made, this watch is a real step up in quality, the back light is amazing.

Bluetooth features are cool, fun to set up from the iPhone.

Not done a picture yet as back from work very late, will try and capture a shot in the morning when it is light.

    Loving it.

10 years ago yesterday, the DW-5000SL Spike Lee collaboration was released. Screw-back, nice heft to it like it should have. Mine's on a bracelet and I'm wearing it today.

Don’t know if you have this, but it is far more user friendly than the endless bits of paper in the box.

    https://support.casio.com/global/en/..._en/index.html

I have it saved as a fav and have now set 5 watches against it.

Thank you. Just changed the date format by connecting with my iPad Pro. Very high tech.

It is the negative display with the resin strap.

I shot a few pictures at work with different light and let my kids pick the shot. They liked to green light.

I can post the other shots later.

Well done, cannot understand why people are so keen to flip this watch.

To set it up use the link that I posted last night, easier than following the various bits of paper.

It certainly is the most flipped watch on SC this year.
Looked at it a few times myself, but cannot bring myself to go for the strap version.
It is clearly the cheapest way to give the model a try

I think out of the two I would give the nod to the full metal with the positive display, but the reverse display resin strap version is top drawer in my opinion and if you are undecided buy both like I did

I love the ‘mother of pearl’ lcd on the anniversary models. Prefer these to the all metal 5000’s tbh

It’s a normal lcd but behind it is a metal panel with tiny perforations which causes that effect. I only discovered this when using a loupe. Quite clever

I have a metal 5000 incoming so looking forward to comparing them, the weight of the Anniversary is spot on and the metal may not be

I almost got the metal square, but it being polished that is big turn off to me. I saw few photos online, after several weeks of use some of them look like 5 years old watches.

If only brushed or bead blasted steel was standard issue version, instead of polished :(

First ever g shock, picked up from Carnaby street store. So far so good. Also saw the Kolor edition on another customer which I really liked the look of too!

Excellent, really pleased for you. I have another coming in next week which I was going to offer to you, but will probably put it on e-bay now.

Did they have any others in and was that Kolor in stock of just owned by another customer.

    I really like the Kolor...

Thanks Ken, really appreciate the thought! I was having problems just getting onto the g shock website so tried my luck down at the store. It was late in the day and I thought they'd be sold out but thankfully they still had a few left.

The Kolor model was actually worn by the guy who worked there and it really caught my eye, thinking I might try and hunt one down but prices are almost double it seems. Was told the store received 20 on release and all sold out unfortunately. The steel on strap was the only other version they had in stock.

This g shock thing can be quite contagious! Great collection you've accomplished with these models...
