I think that the gold works really well. The strap is the softer better quality one that is fitted to the GW5000 1jf jdm. In fact that heft and feel of the watch are virtually identical to the GW5000.
Very nice, I'm on the edge with this one. How are you getting on with the dot screen on the display? Does it cut down the angle of view?

    Thanks

I love the display - old skool with the light effect of a starburst (not sure thats what i mean)
just wish the watch was solar/atomic which i realise is not in keeping with the model 😂

Ordered one of these from John Lewis last month but sent it back as it's bloody massive...i like watches big but this is BIG.

It's the evolution of the LCD - I'm sure we'll see something like this in the 5000/5600 soon. But at the same time, I doubt Casio will phase out the traditional screen completely!

For me the perfect mod for my GW-5000 - just a touch of gold...

And before I forget - one of the DW5035 as the screen was being asked about - and the other GW5035 with the negative display!

I cant manage as good a picture as those posted above! I love the display and I have no problems at all with the angle of view

I love the gold bits - especially catching a glimpse of the screw back case

Thanks to you and Matt for replying. I really shouldn't but someone said that Gshocks don't count when totting up the collection.

That was me. And they don't count as watches. Pro treks are even safer territory. They don't even count as g shocks.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Not wearing 2, but have 2 metal-fascia'd ones with me today - GW-2500B bought from, the forum recently and treated to a new rubber bezel and strap, and a Gulfmaster GN-1000RG.

I’ve been talking to Timeless and asked if they could get me a Kolory 35th Anniversary limited edition.

    https://www.g-central.com/kolor-x-g-...old-and-black/

They are hoping to be able to get 5 if anyone interested.
    Limited edition of 700.

Took my new Rangeman into town today, at the request of a fellow G fan. He was blown away by the size, but overall very impressed. Think he may even pull the trigger.
His final comment? “Of course, it has the hour time signal right?”
    Noooooooooooo.

70,000 Yen so I'm expecting in the region of $650.

I expect that means UK price will be GBP 550-650 if available.

Looks good - an excellent option for if you want a steel one without the weight and feel of a bracelet I think.

SS finish also now available in not so limited numbers for around £500

Could you set an auto repeat 1 hour timer and set it on the hour?

I own several larger G’s including the new rangeman and I like those too, but this fits rather well. I am liking it thus far. Never had an MTG model before, and I’m more of a strap guy than bracelet, so this suits me.

Love mine but won't look as good as my GW5000 after 12 months of hard use and not sure if the shiny bit would be better if it was more like the bracelet.
Hope they bring out a Matt black one with a normal display and not the negative display which is the next to be introduced in this range.

That’s only £3.40 less than buying from the G-Shock boutique in London, isn’t it?

Collect in store or free postage. They had them in yesterday...but I would have preferred solar-atomic so I passed.

Worn daily since launch date , I think the finish is holding up well . You can see some desk rub marks on the clasp but I wouldn’t call them scratches.

I do obsessively wipe off finger prints which seem to appear without even touching the watch .

^^^^ These do look great, and I particularly like the C3PO version.
Couldn’t they have applied a protective coating to prevent light marks?

Overall very good. I was initially worried about the polished look but I think it looks great.
I don't really bother with the connectivity aspect but there are a couple of useful features.
I also think the module is a big improvement on my GW5000/5600. The illumination is much better.

You have better search skills than I. But you know what they say about us Scots... £3.40, that's a month's porridge.

EDIT: Looks like tomorrow may be a new watch day x2.

    Beste David,

Just seen the Hodinkee piece on the Gold B5000.

How the hell do I buy one? Seems more convoluted that getting a stainless steel Rolex!

The polished Gold one sold out but can be found on ebay at a significant premium - there is a matt gold one that should be more easily available.
