Dear All
Having seen the regrets 2014 thread - how about a "whats your plans for 2015" thread?
My plans at the mo (and subject to modification of course!):
Complete a catch on a vintage DateJust SS for Mrs H's 40th (in process)
Save hard and potentially offload my Tag Aquaracer, CWC 1974 RN Chronograph and PRS-82 to fund a 1970's Pepsi 1675....
so - whats yours?
happy new year
Paul

Will try hard to unload 2-3 of mine hopefully get a oris tt1 small second and a Rolex sea dweller ,that the plan ask me at the end of 2015 and I bet my plan changed lol
I plan to unload 4/5 of mine as they just don't get worn enough. Assuming they sell, I can't decide whether to save the money, or put it towards a Dornbluth or Milgauss (white dial).
2014 was a year of high expenditure, not just watches, so 2015 will see me on a big save, primarily for a mortgage splat. So the NY resolution is simple, buy nothing. My Explorer, bought only last September, will make that a lot easier to bear.
Happy New Year to all TZ members!
I have about 3 watches in mind for 2015. A Tourby, a Rolex red grape or copper dial oyster, a Longines.
Other than that there are one or two I will probably pick up along the way and possibly one of Eddies.
I don't have any immediate plans to sell anything my collection is pretty stable.
To not buy any more.
We'll see. I've already decided I need to replace my sold Seiko SNK805 and get an SKX007/9.
No new watches until mid-year at the earliest.
Need to have a rethink as I have too many watches most just don't get worn, on the other hand I have a big anniversary coming up shortly, and was taken recently with a Breitling evo.

Realistically I'm not buying any more after the Mrs' watch until I can get the funds together and wait out the appearance of the GMT I'm looking for. This might be more a 18month plan than 12!
Love the sentiment of not buying anything else...but how good are we all at that? If a nice G10 came around for a good price would probably snap it up and out away for 1 of my children - that way they could have 1 each and my daughter could chose some ridiculous coloured Nato to go with it
Plans are order Steinhart Vintage and for my mil collection :
Cwc fat boy
Pulsar g10
Precista g10
That will see me a very happy boy then
Going to sell 1 - 2 more watches.
The only watch i'm looking to aquire is a Deepsea D Blue.
Simples.
Any 1 in to require 2 out! And sell a couple irrespective of incomings...
My only resolution is to finally get a SOTC up, been meaning to do it for a while but never seem to find the time, excuse the pun!
Other than that I think I'd like to add an Omega to the collection, probably a speedy but I'll see what happens when I try a few on.
Jimmy
No watches until mid January at the earliest.
Not to buy any more watches!
I have three watches to sell, a Seiko Mod to do and a self build to finish off. Other than that, I (think) I'm pretty much sorted :)
To focus on the "Coke" GMT II that I really want and not let my head get turned by anything else until I have got one.
Bob.
I aim to sell a few I don't wear, and have nothing in my mind to replace them so hopefully be down to 4/5.
Then again there are always watches on SC whispering in my ear.
I guess my main focus is to be more discerning and really consider what I actually want.
My plan is to sell most of my cheap watches collection, gain some extra money and buy a vintage Rolex datejust or maybe a Sub.
But I'm still not sure, if it's better to have one proper watch or lots of cheaper ones.
Not to buy a watch for a while and to sell anything I don't wear much.
I'd quite like a 1665, a nautilus and some variant of iwc or JLC.
None of that will happen. But it's nice to dream :)
I have a birthday coming up late Jan, and I think that I need a quartz grab and go beater. As I love divers (watches that is, not blokes in wet suits), I am thinking Seiko, or more probably one of our hosts creations.
Other than that, it would probably be sensible to start wearing some of my watches that have been languishing in the safe most of last year.
Slim down the collection so I can wear and enjoy some of them for longer. May put the money towards a single watch but nothing has taken my fancy in over a year now, apart from some of the newer Speedmasters. They are however somewhat creatively priced!
I kept my 2014 resolution of not buying anything. This year I'll look for a 16610lv.
And now that I've published my plans for 2015 it's almost certain that I'll end up with something completely different.
I sort of miss my Dornblüth so if a 4.0 turns up I might go for it. Also I don't really have a dress watch so if the Dornblüth doesn't materialize then perhaps a nice JLC would do.
As you can see I've planned everything....
Cut the spending right down...
Hoping to get another Calendar complication for weekday wear and I reckon that might be it.
Maybe a PAM 372. And a Royal Oak...
I have realised that 3 divers is too many and i will be looking to trade one (my lovely SUN019 i think) for something else a little different and possibly add a little cash
I have no real plans for any new additions but then that means absolutely nothing
Buy a prs 40.
And then decide what sort of watch that Im gonna buy myself for my 30th... I haven't got a nice dress watch so that's the easy one, but I really want a big slab of a gold watch for some reason as well! Or an AP RO, or perhaps a panerai of some sort, or a zenith 1969, or a speedy 35 th anniversary, or a rolex president on leather.......
Well, hopefully find a job that pays me well enough to increase the watch fund above £0.00. So I would be happy if I could get any watch this year!
Not sure what it would be, but the conceivably realistic candidates are:
-Blancpain Bathyscaphe in steel
-GO Panomatic lunar
And the rather fanciful candidates are:
-AP 15450 RO 37mm
-JLC ultra thin perpetual

Sell the lot, well, excluding the SubC.
Been the same resolution since 1st January 2011
Research watches that I am interested more throroughly, so that I am prepared to strike if a deal pops up.
This year I actually plan on doing some saving and treat myself to something, rather than splurging a hundred quid at a time on something that just drew my attention briefly. Also, I'm looking to sell off some of the ones in my box to thin out the collection.
I'm looking to get my first Rolex this year - a nice black / blue dial 6694, which will give me something to save for but not a ludicrous expense.
The only one I can see me buying this year is something to remember my Grandparents by. I'm leaning towards a Master Calendar I think.
Reduced the collection from 8 to 4 last year to get an ND Sub. Not planning to get any more this year, although if a Kemmner Bundeswehr appeared at the right price.....

To buy some Vostok Amphibias, and experiment with different strap and Murphy bezels. Also to keep looking for the 6105 grail.
First, treat my Bremont to a service.
Second, hopefully put some money aside towards something nice for my 40th in June. However our finances are being closely scrutinised by Social Work as part of the adoption process. :(
Dave
Get to 50 posts, so I can see SC and start to expand my flimsy collection.
looking to sell at least two.Still trying to build the Seiko collection but things have been very slow on that front recently.
Get everything in my own collection fully sorted out (serviced, refinished etc).
Sell a couple of the more expensive ones to fund other interests.
Paul
After the 2014 acquisitions, to scale down the collection.
Like a lot of people, my aim is to reduce my collection a bit, but looking at them all this morning, it was hard to think of any I really want to move on!
A lot don't get much wear though, so I probably need to be stricter with myself!
M.
I'll start with servicing my Breitling and Omega which have both never been serviced after 15 and 10 years respectively! Then I'd like to get my hands on a PAM 337.
Reduce my collection. Same old resolution - and I always fail...
I resolve to spend more time enjoying the watches that I currently have rather than lusting after new ones.
2015 is going to be an expensive year, I am hoping it will see the commencement of our self build home project......which will make it very tricky to divert funds for a watch. So the resolution would be to fund from sales only......we shall see!
Less is more. Enjoy what I have.
My resolutions are to get my Stowa Seatime Prodiver and Antea 390 serviced.
Likewise the Nomos Tagente.
Fix, service and regulate my Seiko SKX007.
Stop buying on impulse and to put a reasonable fund together to buy a 'low key' vintage Rolex.
I spent most of 2014 reducing my collection in favour of fewer but quality watches. I still have a couple to go which will see me from 12 to 3. I will then only increase the number again when I have researched and tried on! I have a hankering for the 42mm Paneria Radiomir 1940 with the lugs, so that could be next.
