Mine's going nowhere... But what's the strap there? I might have to get another of these (my Hirsch is glued on the PRS-29a)...

Rios clip on from the Watch Band Centre

Available in a variety of styles - I like them. I have a dark brown one for my G10.

Thanks. The 'Art Manuel' threw me--I thought maybe RIOS had an upmarket version of these. The Arizonas do look good, but I found them a bit long on the buckle side, so the fit wasn't quite right.
Strange, I haven't been wearing yours for a while, but just put it on this evening and now see your post. Spooky.
The movements are due to be delivered next week (only 5 months late) but I doubt the watches will be available before Christmas. I don't yet know the price because I have to pay the price of the movements at the time of delivery and I won't know that until I get the invoice. I think there's been two price increases since I ordered them and paid the deposit.

Bugger, I've been waiting for the PRS-29a since the very day they went OOS(actually sold the watch I was using to fund it the night before... doh!). Shame about the price increase as I'm alreadynot supposed to be buying any more watches now, you know how wives have a habbit of using those funds you set aside on other things, you have a limited strike time to get it spent
I just have to pray the price difference is minimal, otherwise will have to wait and hope for a s/h one to present itself.
Yup, another here waiting patiently. Ah well, I'll still keep my fingers tightly crossed for christmas but if not it'll just have to be a 'happy 2015' present to myself!
I'm a newbie and just discovered the wealth of designs from Eddie recently. Been eyeing the 29a, and got a SBCA001 for the time being.
Looking forward to these being available again!
Is there an estimated date for this?
I've a PRS-53, which size wise is perfect, being between the two Smiths military. It's my almost exclusive wearer. It would be perfect if it had a little more WR.
I'd be interested in trying a 29b but I'd be worried I'd like it too much and then have to decide between it and the 53 (Trying successfully to stream line and not duplicate a watch category)
I sat on the fence for a long time before buying my 29a. It is one of the few watches that inspire the old cliche : " if you are just a little unsure get it. You will not regret it".
Hang in there chaps. It will be worth the wait. For those of you who have loved and lost, or more accurately bought and flipped; well just hang in there I guess.
The 29A looks great.
I don't suppose anyone has any new information on availability? And price?

The movements have arrived (2801) and I expect the 29A & B to be available when I open again after Christmas.

I'm sure the new 29A and 29B will be big successes for you Eddie. Even though I have a 29B, the 29A has always proved tempting.
The double dome in action. :)
The original batch of 29Bs had the hi-dome fitted due to a misunderstanding at the manufacturer's end.
It's a more expensive component which would have pushed the 29B above the desired price point, which I think is why it's not included in the second iteration.
There's a couple of threads about it in this section of the forum.
Ok, thanks. I'll see if i can find it.
I too bought a Seiko SBCA001 recently before I discovered Timefactor and all the beautiful watches offered. The SBCA001 is a very nice watch but I really want a manual wind. I've owned a few manual wind watches over the years, my first being a Hamilton field watch back around 1970. The new Hamilton seems nice (never actually handled one) but the 29A/B looks soooo nice! Now to decide on size...
Best,
Mark
Just saw a rather interesting tweet....
And also on facebook...
I have a 29A, it is a great watch.
Looking forward to the new release.
The new batch appears to be in stock on the Timefactors site :)
Indeed and with new photos of both watches.
Of interest to me was seeing the 29B's new crystal, which compared to the first version is much closer to the bezel, which may also have been slightly changed. The new incarnation reminds me of my Explorer.
I'm sure it will be a big success, it looks great!
New
Old
I'm sure this will be another winner, judging by the amount of people waiting for them to be restocked, it's amazing how the shape of a crystal can change the look and feel of a watch.
Really like mine as the crystal gives it a certain warmth.
Missing mine that moved on, I quite like that new flat crystal.
I've been counting down the hours until today! 29a ordered and dispatched. Not long now until I finally have my grubby mitts on one!
Likewise, I joined the 29A club today after going back and forward between reviews and pic's of the 29B, then onto a Speedbird and finally decided on a 29A with a black NATO. Ordered early this morning and posted around lunch, so thanks for the fast service Eddie. Should be here in the morning, unfortunately I won't be around to sign until Friday, but I'll post some pic's soon after.
Nice shot and the watch looks great, enjoy! Mine's at the local sorting office until Friday.
No, it's an old one from 'zuludiver' that I've had sitting on a little Seiko SNK for a while. I just stuck it on that as I fancied some green. The 29a came on a grey NATO with what looks like Eddie's older hardware (it's the same lighter grey one in the new pic of the 29a and 29b side by side on the Timefactors website). Its actually quite different from any I've had off Eddie before, not as dark as the new grey but not as light as the old grey, a tighter weave and also stitched. Must be specific to the 29a but its my favourite shade of grey that Eddie has done yet. I'd certainly buy one in 20mm!
It may have the same model number but the new 29B has a noticeably different case.
Christian's new 29B on the left, my 29B on the right.

So this is going to be my first timefator purchase. But I am stuck on the old decision between the A and B. I've dug through the forum already ,any thoughts?
Sounds like it is a classic problem!
The 29a is faithful to the vintage original, fixed bars, smaller case, plexi. The 29b is an update for the modern age, larger, with hassle free sapphire (for me the domed works better) but still the vintage proportions in a bigger package. No brainier for me with an 8in+ wrist, I had a vintage one and it was way too small. So 29b for me.
If you have a smaller wrist then the 29a is probably more classic. For me I'm not convinced about the flat crystal of the new 29b anyway.
I wasn't but I'm thinking of getting one again.
I would prefer the 39mm but its such a jump in price from the 36mm, might have to just stick to the 36mm.
I had it for 2 weeks on the pass around and it does actually wear great for a smaller size watch.
