    I think it was a Heuer design originally, so probably made by Squale back in the day. No idea what the name is, although my Zeno PRS-3 uses the shape to good effect



    I'd be interested in the history though as I can find very little about it on t'interweb.

    I've always known it as an '844' case

    My understanding is that Heuer contacted Monnin & purchased the right to use the design around 1978. Infact Monnin ( France ) took on the role of producer for a short period ( estimated by some to be around a year before moving the production to Heuer Switzerland ).
    I therefore conclude the design was indeed Monnin's & even as a firm Heuer fanboy i am quite willing to name this a Monnin design.
