My latest watch. I’ve fancied an Oris Big Crown Propilot for a while now.

What is odd though is the closeness of the 4567 compared to 10,11,12,1,2 suggesting it’s slight off centre but that could be the angle of the ring itself and not shooting the watch straight on.

The benefit I'm enjoying here is two functional eyes focussed on a three dimensional object, whereas you're looking at a photo taken and processed on a phone. I *could* describe in great detail exactly what's wrong with the chapter ring, explaining why it interferes with the 5 and 6, but why bother?

Had to go a-wandering to find a uncloseddown jewellers vaguely near me, but now have this sitting very comfortably on my wrist.

Four years ago, I would have never have dreamt of having a bracelet on any of my watches, let alone a 22mm one on a 42mm watch. Funny how one's tastes slowly shift around. Essentially I got this as an experiment, to see whether I'm happy with the style, and so far, yes, I am

A couple of new arrivals. First off is a 1989 CWC G10. I had held back on buying one of these given the size and that it was Quartz, but they seem ever popular and I can see why. They don't wear small at all and are very comfortable.

The second one I wasn't even looking for or after. Having owned five different Mark 1 Ocean Vintage Reds, one of my previous buyers contacted me to say he was selling and did I want to buy it back. It is in lovely condition and is now the sixth time I have owned one of these. Come on guys, surely one of you can beat 6.

Been after one of these for a while. IWC Chronograph Le Petit Prince. Love the blue and the clarity of the dial and the bracelet is excellent complete with micro adjustment.

    That's gorgeous- congratulations.
These don't appear to get a lot of love - compared with for example Speedmasters on this forum and I often wonder why.

Is it the mk1 the mk 1.1 or the mk 1.1.2(b)?

According to the WR scale, which is now the internationally recognised method of determining which vintage red one has - it has to be a 1:3, the first with the sapphire crystal.

You nearly got me there, had to think about that one for a minute.

The Military Mark 1s seem to have collapsed in price as we predicted, you see them on e-bay as 'Buy now' for Ł350.00 or so. Did you sell yours.

That's the gamble with these black dial Mark 1 watches, if Steinhart put them back out why would you buy a 5 year old watch when you can have new. They did a blacker dial Red, I think I called it a Mark 3, but luckily they kept the lume from the Mark 2, so the Mark 1 currently retains its desirability.

I REALLY got into watches after acquiring my first Doxa, a 750T Professional, some years before finding this forum. And after trying out many, many watches since it's great to have a Doxa return to the fold. This time a 300 Professional, 50th anniversary edition, currently on an aftermarket rubber tropic :-). Just love the layers and steps to its profile, recognising a similar theme in my other watches.

    My first AP
I had to get one eventually and this is what I chose, I’ve always been a Rolex or Patek person so it felt like going to the dark side. After a week on the wrist I am extremely happy it wares so well. If you’ve ever been tempted I would say definitely try one you won’t turn back.

Very nice. Love the crown at 12. Bit rich for me though unfortunately. Is the 6R64 the GMT version of the 6R15?

As a massive, massive fan of the Landmaster I was looking forward to this and am a bit unsure. I hope it looks better in real life! Whats the price tag (and release date)?

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

After some trial and error, I’ve found that 40mm is the best size for me. I’m now the happy owner of a Tudor North Flag but this arrived today. I won’t be doing a review as such but will post some pictures over the weekend, hopefully with some observations that haven’t been repeated before.

This is a stock photo from the Ginault website.

First impressions are that it’s very nice and exactly what I’d hoped it to be.

I know TH get a slating on here and I would never pay full RRP but I've just received this from James and it's a perfect weekend casual knocking about watch. Loving the bezel and the size and the strap
    Is super comfy.

    Hi All

Just wanted to share a recent incoming. I wasn't too keen on the silicone strap so managed to source the bracelet via eBay which I think really works well. Took a couple of days to get used to the weight but so far am very impressed. I am also considering a Hirsch Robby blue/black strap as another alternative.

Anyway here are a few pics (taken on iphone6), I think the dial is superb!
