That is very nice Rusty and must be very early given the Steinhart logo - somewhere between 2000 and 2010 I am guessing.

    It's here!

My first Timezone watch: a Smiths Military PRS-29a.

Will give a more thorough review after I have worn it for a little while, but it's a really lovely watch. It has much of the charm of a vintage piece, yet has the upsides of a new watch too. Not only is it technically 'all there', with a good movement, 100m WR, and well finished case, it is also an aesthetic delight, with a sense of warmth and virtuous modesty to it.

Just picked up this lovely Speedmaster Reduced. From c.1998 and I'm enjoying the smaller size compared to my regular speedy. Not sure where the value of these is going but it seemed pretty affordable compared to the traditional moonwatch.

This is not going to have nothing to do with nothing but I hate how on TZ UK the newest replies are at the top of the thread. Seems counterproductive, don't you all think?

I like it that way around. Having the most recent stuff at the top makes sense to me, that's how e-mails and messages are usually displayed in a client program.

It also makes those ^^^^^^ type posts look as though they are referring to something completely different which also amuses me

I also have it set to latest first, especially when 500 outraged individuals object to a Rolex AD withholding a cup of coffee. It also makes people who post 'as above' look stupid.

I finally have the 4s15 hi-beat titanium diver coming in. I'm trying to track it from over seas, but I'm not having much luck.

Thanks! Luckily for me the strap came with the watch, I don't think I'd have found a better one.

The postman was kind enough to deliver this today, a Bulova "Ambassador". Date code N4 dates it to 1974. I know next to nothing about this brand, they seem to be cheap as chips though so I guess there's not much love for them? Needs a good clean and a new strap now.

Just for good form, and with apologies that it's not as interesting to many members as a Rolex, I have increased my tiny "collection" by 25%.
GO calibre 36 with 100 hour power reserve.

I don't know where has come the idea that just because Rolexes are so popular on the forum there is any kind of disdain for other watches for not being another Rolex. Certainly not something I've ever felt when posting about my own watches.

    Sir Amf
I can't help noticing that, on average, photos of a new Rolex tend to receive more response than do photos of some other brands which I regard as at least of equal in terms of quality -- hence the comment. It was not intended to be disparaging, simply to recognise reality.

Rolex Oysterquartz (17000) stainless steel beater

    On the way to me........

This is on my wanted list for quite some time now and now I managed to snag one in awesome condition.
Just made the payment today and will be arriving within a couple of days.

Its the Citizen perpertual calendar chronograph, the much sought after blue dialed version.
If you want a watch in your collection that always shows the correct time, this is the one to get.
It's radio controlled and in sync with the atomic time clock.
Futher more it has so many features.
It's one of Citizens most finest watches, they have various models in this range but I just love a blue dial and also the square pushers and the signed crown. Not to forget the red accents on the gorgeous blue dial.
Can't wait to have it on the wrist.

Not my pics, credits go to the seller.

I tried to get a photo in the "less than ideal" surroundings of an airline lounge, but it might serve as a start. For me, the calibre 36 (auto) is not as drop-dead-gorgeous as the calibre 65 (manual) in my Panoreserve, but it's no slouch.
I chose the model without complications (big date and moon-phase are not a great deal extra), because it is fairly thin (maybe 9-10mm) and feels very light and unobtrusive on the wrist.
    So far, love it.
