After years and years I got one.
Cheapish but a well regarded watch.
Beat up Core for doing all that dirty work when you dot want to scratch you beloved ones

New to me, this vintage Stowa. I assume it's likely to be around late 50s, 34mm, gold plating in remarkably good condition for it being around 60 years of age, timekeeping good, dial has gorgeous patina on it. (and yes, I know it's a cheap strap, but it was the only long 18mm one I had...)

    Best £26 I've spent on a watch for a while :)

Very happy with this new acquisition via Dave (manxdiver).
Still deciding on which strap to go for, but this black waffle seems to work well for me.

Received this today, bit of an impulse purchase,
I had the Padi Prospex on order a few months ago from Amazon but canceled it, I was tempted by the blue lagoon turtle instead.
Saw this Samurai on SC recently which I hadn't even considered (wasn't aware of it) and much prefer the case style/shape

first impressions are very good (unlike my pic)

I've been after one of these for a while. I was lucky enough to find this at a fairly local AD and picked it up yesterday for a reasonable £2400. First sold in June this year it was returned as an unwanted gift. Completely unworn, stickers intact and with a blank guarantee card which is now in my name. In effect it is as new and with the upcoming Tudor price rise I think I've got a bit of a bargain.

I had a Bonetto Cinturini 317 Zuludiver strap from a previous purchase, now on the Samurai and looking (& smelling) good

Nice find given it's essentially new with full warranty! I'd say the price is at the lower end of what's right so well done. I'm expecting a nice used one to arrive shortly and there are a few reasonably priced ones out there. Not many one month old with warranty though
I don't think these will ever see a meteoric rise given the movement but they are a great homage and really suit the nato.

I've ordered one of these (not my photo) from William at Tiger Concept. £114 delivered with 3 nato's. It's in the UK now according to the tracking. I own a genuine black bay blue, it will be interesting to compare the two when it arrives.

Collected this today. Fits well and is beautifully made as you would expect, but do I prefer it to my SDc4000? The jury is currently out.

Picked this up today and after lusting after an Armida A1 for a long time since I first saw pictures of one. Thanks to reggie77 I now one. I was a bit sceptical about the brown dial but now seeing it i really don't think there is a better colour dial for the A1.
Not only have I been after the A1 but also a brass diver and again personally I have not seen many brass diver designs that I like better than the A1. The whole design looks very nautical, always reminds me of an old dive suits helmet.

Anyway thought I would share it over a refreshment.

It is a club where AD removes all your clothes and keeps your wallet and CC for six months.

Where all members gather around a large crystal ball predicting price rises, discontinued models and dial variations whilst constantly monitoring used prices from ebay/watchfinder on the 'Rolex big board' on the wall

    Oh and chicks everywhere ;)

Nice watch Craig, a lovely shade of blue.

As we are doing Blue Dial incoming, this is not a case of another one of those, but actually buying my old watch back. I sold it a few months ago and it was relisted the other night, so I thought why not.

We need a new thread: how many times have you bought your old watch back

I was quite worried it would be too small but it is a perfect size for my 6.75" wrists

Loving the look of that Chris Ward. I'm currently thinking a bright blue diver will be my next purchase, and that is one that I had forgotten about so thanks!

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

Yes I must admit I did have a look on their site and didn't spot it, so assumed they had discontinued. I shall keep a look out for used.

Please let me know how you find the lume?

Haven't bought a watch for a pretty (relatively) long time!

    Looking to update my SMP300 and fell in love with this;

    Tried most of the current Omega range on and I can't look past the blue although I very nearly went for this;

Ideally what I want to do is swap my blue SMP300 for a black one so I have a bit of variety. Very happy with current collection which includes these 2, my Pam 419 and a couple of Seikos/random stuff.

I can't make my mind up on it, I think it would definitely need to be on a bracelet as it's a bit much on the strap.

The orange on the bezel has a strange rubbery feel to it which also put me off.

The blue however is stunning in real life, and actually it REALLY makes my SMP look rather dated!

I know that in the past some of the black dials had very matte dials, and now they've some very glossy ones - did that pattern apply throughout the range - was there a major shift from matte dials to glossy?

May I ask you the model number on the back of that one? It looks like an improved BM6400 from here. Also, what's the diameter and how is the lume?

Model: Aw 1410 8 e. 42mm and wears quite large, maybe 15mm deep. Don't know about the lume yet as I only got it this morning. I suspect it will be good.

Thanks. For some reason I had no idea they'd remodelled the BM6400. Are you sure about the 42mm? The sites I find it on are saying 44mm. Also, can you measure the lugs? The lug dimensions on the net are all over the shop.

The bm6400 does look identical , and I suspect it is the same case, same size, about 43mm in reality. Same price too. The only real weakness to me is that the calendar is surprisingly hard to read. But a good watch for the money.

I have now resorted to buying watches that aren't even up for sale. Last week I bought the Blue Dial Orient Mako from Andrew Cregan, which was my old watch that I had sold to him. When thanking him post delivery of the watch, I mentioned to Andrew that if he still had the white dial Orient Mako USA 1 watch that I had sold him a while back, I would be interested in buying it back if he ever sold it.

A few days later it is a new arrival. As always, Andrew was a pleasure to deal with. I will give 6 months and sell them back to him
