I have been busy over the last week. I think her indoors is wondering what's going on with all these packages. My Vostok Komandirskie K34

Lovely unusual watch. Totally different to anything else I have and is very comfortable.

Plus here is my Vostok Amphibia 090. Again very comfortable to wear. I had to have the bracelet re-sized. These watches do not have a good reputation re the stock bracelets but actually this one has been Ok so I am living with it for now anyway.

Picked up this Vetta 70's diver. Dark green gloss dial, internal date lense, bi-directional bezel with acrylic inlay and huge srew-down crown. Vetta 772 (signed both on rotor and movement) 17 jewels auto (think it's a generic ETA).

This came in today - Vostoc Amphibia 470 case type and a 2409A hand wound movement. Condition of the watch (case and crystal) is excellent considering its age (probably mid to late 80's and obviously Soviet era). I think this is probably a Vostok Albatros ?

It's in nice used condition. Didn't cost a fortune and is keeping good time. I am pretty pleased with it although I might replace the Orange Nato but it will do for now.

This one also came in today. Actually me first E Bay purchase. Also my first Poljot. I picked this up for just a few quid on E Bay literally the price of a couple of beers. Actually it has a new leather strap which would probably have cost me nearly as much had I bought is separately.

It actually looks better than the picture I've taken but my camera skills are not great plus I think the colour of the dial is just not that photogenic. It looks better in real life. I wound it and with a little shake it went and is keeping good time.

I am not really sure what I have here though. It looks like 1970's to me - but I could be wrong. I have no idea what type/ model it is either but I am quite pleased with it considering.

Oh that's very nice indeed. I love that case shape.

Good point! Can you buy it separately? (Not that I'd mind a free Seafire with it, but still.)

They are not listed separately, although contacting Eddie via Timefactors during business hours might be worth a try. Failing that a WTB, as from previous posts some Seafire owners prefer wearing on other straps. Lee

The shade of green looks very close!

Well I've broken my new years resolution and made a purchase. First incoming since June. Only been on the wrist for an hour, it's so light and comfortable. I can see it becoming a real fave. Proves that you don't have to spend a lot to have a quality watch some history and heritage.

Even the strap is nice quality especially for a Russian watch where the straps can be a bit dodgy. At first I thought the butterfly clip would dig into my arm. But it has been fine. Enjoy it when it arrives.

Got these incoming... I have never bought a homage before, but I have been itching to buy something new for a while and this seemed like a fun way of doing that without having to go in deep with the cash... My Polar Explorer has been my daily wearer and only watch for about 2 or 3 years now, and every watch I have bought since then has been flipped in short order as nothing (for me) compares to the Polar...

Anyway, hang me if you wish!

I'd love to see a real life pic of that to see what the dial really looks like.

^^^ I'm no expert on Casios but I reckon it's genuine, just a few years old.

I think that Casio have really tried to push the Oceanus and Edifice ranges more upmarket recently.

Tropical dial Kontiki. Has been laying around (with original, though buckle-extended, Gay-Frères bracelet) for some time, but needed a movement donor. Came back yesterday. Not my best buy last year... Think I'll keep it as a reminder...

The movement looks too small for the watch.

....delighted to receive this in the post from Matt yesterday. Beautiful dial and just different enough from my Seamaster 2254.

Standard fayre, and has been for many a year now – 43mm case with regular 11½''' movement, irrespective of whether it is an ETA 28xx, Sellita SW200, Soprod A10, SII NH35A, or Miyota 91xx.
I don't know why people get hung up on it – it is what it is, industry wide, and I can't see any real justification for making a larger movement for those brands/models which will be 41-44 mm in size. If it's an issue for an individual, then they will either have to accept the compromise or just buy something else instead.

Just personal views on aesthetics really isn't it? I'd rather a solid caseback with a smaller movement:case ratio whereas you don't.

That's beautiful, is that the tenth or eleventh moon phase?

Having tried on a WG Sub last week and been impressed by the weight, I'm guessing that feels like quite a lump (in a reassuring way).

Current count is GO, Patek, MB and IWC. I'd like a JLC to go with them ;)

I'm hoping to do a proper post on it tomorrow - it's turning out to be better than I could have imagined. Perhaps my perfect watch for a number of reasons.

    This just arrived :-D

A watch that I've wanted for a long time, but seem to rarely come up with the gorgeous yellow tritium hour plots on the dial.

Going to get the hands relumed to match the dial, and might have a go at painting the bezel numbers myself :-/

Here's a very q&d on a rickety bus, but off to Antwerp tomorrow on a stag do so might try and get some better pics (for WT and BR ;-P)
