I thought for a second this is also a 38mm version like the PO. Guess you have a major wrist. Looks great l!

This Komanderskie 211398 arrived today as part of a batch of inexpensive Vostoks destined for modding.

However, having changed the awful standard bezel for a smooth brushed ss one and worn it for a few hours I am beginning to really like the dial and overall look. I may well keep it as it is!

Not everyone’s cup of tea but a lot of watch for not a huge amount of money. Put in a cheeky offer which was accepted. Ebel 1911 BTR GMT, timekeeping since collection has been excellent

I nearly bought one of these the other day. I'm thought I'd got over green watches but I like the white chapter ring on this one. Like a Pacer…

Might have to have another look

    Ooo, Pacers! Lovely.

It's exactly the green/white/green that does it for me too. A nice combo.

    I think it's an Ebel Calibre 137.

I'm sure that Ebel eventually sold this movement to Ulysse Nardin back in 2012. UN call it their calibre UN150. No harm in that of course.

Maybe it was the earlier watches that had the zenith movement:

Thank you. No there isn’t am/pm indicator. I do use the GMT function on my Explorer II so be interesting to see if it impacts me when I use although to be fair it’s once a year on the further holiday.

I really like the ability to hide the hand. Here’s a pic with it visible and hidden behind the hour marker.

That’s interesting and a great looking watch.
So does the GMT hand just function as an independent hour hand with two revolutions in 24hrs?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Ebel did indeed use the El Primero, but they were in the smaller cased model 1911's of the early 90's era. Very nice they were too.

    Dunhill did the same.

Thank you. I believe so yes. Other than for the picture I’ve hidden it and not really noticed haha. But yes I think that’s the case.

One funny thing is that my 312 now feels huge and plain in comparison despite there only being subtle differences to the dial - I think the minute markers make a difference and the matt black dial is nice compared to the colour of the 312 dial. The case of the 312 is quite a bit thicker than the GMT too.

I received a small discount from the CWC Vault for this ex-display, non-issued quartz chronograph. It is a welcome upgrade from my 2019 Newmark 6BB reissue. I know the consensus on the date window likely is that it is an abomination, but I am happy to be in the minority. This is a near perfect watch for me.

I really like the look of these and the range of functions available. Not sure if it’s the angle of the photo but it looks a bit big for my 7.5 inch wrist. Do you have a link the the reference and where you bought it from. I like the green but are there other colours?

    Many Thanks

Nice fit. I do find their 5link very comfortable and the t-fit clasps great.

I have the same piece on a 7.75" wrist and it's a fine fit, anything over 7" should carry it well as the lugs are curved. The camera angle makes it look huge, but it's a nice size and sits well on the flat of the wrist.

The green is the CB5921-59X, the black is the CB5921-59E, the CB5930-82L is blue; all SS.

The CB5925-82X is a PVD with green dial, the CB5925-15E is a PVD with a very deep bronze dial and aged lume.

I got mine for £329 from Amazon, several places are around that price if you do a little digging.

    Side on on my wrist...

Also worth noting, if you like a 'dead face', that is with no ticking seconds hand, it can be left in chrono mode (CHR). Time and date (not day) still functions as normal, but it'll only receive the DCF77 signal in time mode (TME).

Hi Neil. Bought it from Hilliers Jewellers, in my hometown of Middlesbrough. It seems that I bought the last one in stock. I’m sure it would look fine on your larger wrist. My wrist is around 6.5 inch and obviously the watch is too big for me, but I don’t let minor details like that put me off. Haven’t seen the model in anything other than the green dial. I paid just short of £350. RRP is around £500.

That’s great thanks for the additional info and picture. I’ll check out the different version and mull things over. No Citizen in the collection currently either.

Minor point-of-order - I keep sniffing around these since you got yours, and just now discover the blue dial model is the odd one out in being Titanium, not SS.
