Always wanted to try an Alpina Startimer Pilot. Turned out to be the Chronograph at the end.

I do like that and their latest blue dial model with the sub-dials at 6 and 12.

Thanks, I believe the newer model comes with that dial layout. Looking good, but the horizontally placed subdials are more appealing to me.

The mark 1 has the following differences to the Mark 2 pictured below for reference purposes:

A lovely jet black dial
Greenish cloured smaller plots
A forward slash in the depth rating rather than an = in the Mark 2
No number 10 in the bezel insert
A pointed internal 4 in the 40 rather than a flat top on the Mark 2

All in all, more desirable than the later version and one of the more difficult Steinhart models to find as most people bought the Military model.

Must keep hold of this one...

I have the Photobucket app on my phone, so the image went from the camera roll to the app and then straight onto here (without leaving the phone to do it).

As well as Photobucket to host images, if you use the Tapatalk app to browse the forum, you can upload pictures straight from your 'phone.
