Thanks. Yes it’s white confusing at first but it kind of makes sense with the deployant clasp. Easier to access from 6 o’clock

DPD finally delivered it after 3 cancellations.

Before I sorted the bracelet then 10 minutes later on my wrist.

Nah, it's just the way I angled the wrist. It's a loose fitting 7.5 inch

I've been looking to add something different from my divers and chrono's for a while and I've also been thinking of a skeleton watch and also perhaps adding a quartz. This is definitely not a diver or a Chronograph, nor is it a quartz. It is perhaps arguable the first version of a skeleton watch although Bulova didn''t intend it to be that way originally. Arrived today is this 1971 Accutron, a watch that is like no others in my collection.

I've admired some Accutron from afar but they've never quite hit the spot, but that's really nice. Do like that one. Great find

Habring2 Chrono Felix. I've been interested in this watch for ages and it doesn't disappoint in person. Lovely size and a spectacular dial.

Incoming for the wife, she has recently been spending all her work time back in the office having had a promotion and wanted to ditch her FitBit Alta that is now not particularly useful. Over covid, all her fashion watches died and so she's got a Seiko SRE003K1 incoming for Christmas which is the 28mm Seiko 5 range they've released. Stock photo below doesn't really do it justice (and it's wrapped currently!), and for the £156 I've paid I'd say it's a cracking watch for little money especially in the automatic womens segment. Don't much fancy the other styles in the range, but hopefully this will be a winner as she has a similar quartz diver in this size range as well.

Absolutely loving my new Pelagos 39. 2nd on list since launch, 4 months wait pretty good these days. The dimensions are perfect for my wrist and paired with my blue/jubilee/fluted bezel DJ36 I've got a perfect two-watch collection!

Picked this up today. Merry Christmas me Bremont MB Savanna from Watts in Derby who are sadly closing down, so selling off all their stock. I've been after an MBII for some time now, and this version hadn't really been my first choice due to its price, but with a nice reduction (and another strap included into the bargain) I was happy to get it.

They also had a Hawking and. Hercules left if anyone fancied either of them, you'd have to ring for prices (the Hawkings was around 5k iirc). Oh and a couple of Montblanc Timewalker Chronos.

    Nice, well done.

So you sold the 15500 and replaced it with the 26331? Or are they the 37/38mm iterations?

It's actually the 37mm ref 15450ST. Did a swapsie with a friend plus cash his way. He got the ref 26331 earlier this year but says he just didn't bond with it and wanted a non chrono. Met up with him for our annual just before Xmas jolly last week and struck up the deal. Not sure if he got the better deal or I did but hey ho we've been mates for over 30 years so a few ££s more or less is irrelevant.

This qualifies as a new incoming after I bought it from a member in June and fumbled around for six months getting the dial changed from black to the classic silver with raised numerals. I sold my 99.4 for this and it will be with me for life :)

I've shown some self restraint (if that's the right definition?) and no expensive watch purchase for Xmas. So I went for a cheap and cheerful Timex Q GMT, which is a great little kit except its bracelet. Case, dial, hands are all rather good for the price point but the cheapish looking bracelet wasn't fitting into the whole picture.
Therefore I went for an aftermarket Jubilee.
After some filing (on both the end-links and clasp side) I reached a handsome integration and even the OEM clasp found it's place back.
I have to say I'm quite happy with the outcome.
Even though it has the vintage GMT Master vibes it's not a straight homage due to the 80s Timex link. It's delivering the feeling in a more funny way, like a caricature I would say.

    Happy holidays to all,
    Csaba

I'd love to try one on but the store I buy from doesn't know when they'll get one in. Enjoy!
Pretty cool Chris . It’s a good job you’ve got monster wrists !! Our kiddie 7.5inch wrists are way too tiny for that! I can just about get away with a normal DSSD but that is outrageous in a cool way :)

Three titanium divers, 45mm Seiko LX, 47mm Panerai Sub & a 50mm Rolex Deepsea.
    Where do I go next?
Time to start looking for a Pam 0341 L’Egiziano.

I think so too, but Timex decided to go with their own design which is not bad but the polished details looking cheapish somehow.

Keep pausing at this as I scroll this thread. I’d have said it’s not my style of watch, but then why does it keep catching my eye?! Very nice, and impressive to get such a change done.

Fantastic. My youngest created these home-made tags for my gifts (don't tell Moulinsart).

Love the colours of this model. There's quite a few MBs in sales at the moment but I think this is one of the best looking.

I had been thinking about an integrated bracelet piece for a little while and when I went along last week with AJDH to collect his blue Laureato I expressed a firm interest in the green. Obviously I wasn't expecting to land one in 7 days but events conspired in my favour and here it is.

Initial thoughts are, build quality is outstanding, the bracelet is incredibly silky, the 42mm wears smaller and the modest depth of 10.3mm means the watch sits on my 7.25inch wrist very well.
A nice bonus was to discover that GP use 904L steel for the Laureato. The only changes that the new green release brings are the dropping of the applied 1791 founding date logo, the addition of a colour matched date wheel and gun metal hands and chapter ring for a more sporty look. It certainly aids legibility!

Although I like the blue, I really fancied the green when I saw the release reviews and this one is quite mesmerising the way it plays with the light.

They may not be the best investment in the world, these Laureato's, but they do bring a lot of quality to the table even at the new higher price point.

I am very happy to now be a paid up member of the "couldn't get an AP club"
Great choice @petay993. The green is very deep and mesmerising.

This arrived yesterday, and so far, very impressed with it! The dial looks black in most lights, but is a very nice dark navy blue.
