Newly arrived, I think it's fair to call me a fanboy of the brand.

I'm loving the micro-brands at present. My Aquatico Poseidon with brushed ceramic insert and a cracker of a vintage inspired Seiko case. It's stealthy.....

Just a new strap but it changes the watch a lot…

I'm really enjoying this 83 reissue. First quartz watch for ages and you know what, now that I'm able to compare it on an objective level and really appreciate it for what it is I'm finding it so convenient - especially in this format where it seems like the most true incarnation of a classic.

If I was gonna get one it’d be this version. Looks good.

Thanks yes I’m really pleased. Love the acrylic bezel and the way the glass is on the same level. I’ve always been tempted with the auto version (and still might get one!) but somehow the quartz version feels more classic for this particular model.

Sorry, got it mixed up. I'd prefer Swatch group over Richemont if going with a brand which isn't its own owner

Only things which put me off at the huge Blancpain engraving on the side of the case, no adjustment on bracelet and Richemont. Definitely on the radar but will see how the next few years go. Need to get through my R "wish list" first.
The lack of adjustment on the bracelet was the main reason I didn’t wear it as much, quality is phenomenal but zero adjustment and the (for me) difficulty in adding links was a headache

Agree, fine adjustment would be welcome on the bracelet. Haven’t changed the bracelet myself but took it to Bond Street recently, they adjusted bracket links and told me it was so easy to do, saying that they did it out of sight so only taking their word for it :)

The bracelet drives me mad to the point that I wear my barakuda on an omega nato, despite having a bracelet for it.

Really like the Doxa orange Sub 300 T but too much for me with the orange dial and matching strap. So I saw a pic online with the orange strap on a Sharkhunter. IMO works really well and picks up on the orange accents on the dial and hand set perfectly

    A new arrival today!

The Mkii Nassau. A great watch I have wanted to try for some time. Classic looks, great proportions an eta movement and double domed sapphire. Tried it on a few straps today and looks like I’ve knocked the bezel off 12 in this pic.

Well, a very long search for the right DJ has finally come to en end... I set out to find a 36mm but ended up with this lovely, as-new DJ 41 (which actually measures a tad under 40mm) in what is to me the correct configuration for this iconic watch.

Couldn't be happier. Well, unless I'd remembered to set the date before I took the photo

& here it is with is 38yr old sibling. Vintage one originally my dads then passed down to me.

I must say the modern one wears well, start is super soft also.

Cool pic! Always liked the vintage versions.

That looks absolutely spot on, congrats. An iconic watch.

Arrived yesterday from dejjl, the Aqualand that started me off on watches, and dive watches in particular.

First time wearing a 24mm lug width/strap, but as others have said it doesn't wear as big as the numbers suggest.

Pretty much the perfect config, Tony.

I’m torn between that and a rhodium smooth bezel. Very different but I’m not sure which one I want of the two.

Solid configuration on the DJ. I'm down for a smooth bezel 41 in blue on oyster as the oyster bracelet beefs it up a bit and I'm trying to save the fluted bezel for a SkyDweller.

Rhodium is much nicer than I was expecting but I only tried that on in the Wimbledon version. Could have flipped a coin between the blue and the Wimbledon.

Yes, the rhodium dial is (to my mind) the other colour to go for.

I've had a smooth bezelled DJ2 on oyster in the past and I have to say I liked it a lot, albeit that it wore a lot larger then the 41. I just associate the DJ with fluted bezel/jubilee bracelet... just a personal thing rather than any one configuration being better than the others.

I know I'd never wear it, but I absolutely love the look of this, and it's so much nicer than the clunky "tribute" that's also doing the rounds at the mo.

    Well, I wasn’t expecting that….

Walked into my local AD (who I’ve purchased from before back in 2018/19.) I was enquiring about the Explorer II 226570 and they had one I could try on.

Had a nice chat about watches, was seated and offered a drink etc, the lovely Sales Assistant then brought me a watch to try on. Asked if I was interested, she pops off to the speak to a Manager and next thing I know I’m actually offered the watch…..there and then!

Really good experience, and exactly how it should be!

Anyway, here is a pic (my photo skills aren’t the best)

Well, this lovely thing has gained 3 seconds in about a week. That's pretty impressive, and mirrors my experience of modern Rolex these days.

When you think about that in percentage terms, it's nothing short of miraculous, actually (a 0.00099% variance by my reckoning)!
