It doesn’t qualify as a “wait” in my case, I feel. When this model was revealed (Basel 2019?) I spoke to AD and said I liked it. I got the impression it was never going to happen (just like my interest in steel professional Rolex is often disregarded). We never spoke about it after that. I was surprised to be contacted last week and be asked if I was still keen. They certainly didn’t make a note back then (at least not in my presence) but remembered from over 3 years ago. Sign of the times I guess.

Finally got my hands on an early Breguet 3800. Bought via Sotheby's in New York, waited 5 weeks for delivery but well worth it

    Tudor Ranger

Collected my Tudor Ranger from an AD in Edinburgh this afternoon. Paid a deposit a couple of weeks ago and got the call this morning.

Wanted a handwind, in-house, 100m, 38mm, lumed summer sports/dress watch that can dress up or down. Boom Nomos

One of the massive positives of Nomos is how they treat their customers. It's like it's their privilege to sell you a watch rather than the other way round (like some). My four month old Club was running 11 seconds slow a day. They had a courier collect it, ship to Germany and back in my hands within two weeks. It now runs one second fast a day. In communication nothing seemed like too much trouble for them. That's how I want to be treated when I spend a considerable amount of money (for me) with a company.

Do like Nomos but can't be doing with a polished case. Would it be wrong to bead blast one?

Do it. I'd love to see how it looked. Obviously on one of their 'sports' models. If you did it to an Orion.... I might scream.

I can completely agree with your experience of Nomos, I have 2 and with both they couldn’t do enough to help (suggesting and delivering strap options for my Club Atlantic, and Tangente Sport).

Not if you intend to keep it :-) plus I think it would look lovely.

Go for it, I paid £85.00 plus postage both ways to get my A13-a done and it's worth every penny.

Look's even better in real life

Quick and dirty pic after sizing the bracelet, no doubt it’s a wonderful bit of kit, not too sure if it’s a bit too techy for me but I’ll give it a bit and see how I feel.

Well just too damn excited to wait until I’ve got home and sized the bracelet, so here’s a quick and dirty pic waiting for the train to depart

This landed with me yesterday, PRS-47 Smiths Commando, eBay pick up.

I had an Everest before with the greyed out ‘Everest’ text and felt it unbalanced the dial a bit, so I prefer the Commando text being there as it is (I know the latest Everest has remedied this). I also prefer stick hands to Mercedes. I really fancy the new Tudor Ranger, but think it might be a bit oversized and this does a similar job at a fraction of the price. You can’t argue with the build quality for the money.

This is V1, with the black dial which I prefer to the newer tropical dial, but if I was nit picking I’d rather have the shorter thinner hour hand and the clasp of the newer version. All in all a good pick up though, am happy with it.

Missed my navi 01 so it’s nice to have another one in the collection - although 48MM I think it wears well

One week in with the Sub and I have to admit that I'm favouring it a little more than the BLRO.

I suspect that will change once the Jubilee is delivered.

This is my next target once all the house stuff is out of the way (could take a while). I really appreciate the no date symmetry.

The classic Sub is the best of the Rolex sports pieces IMO. Perfect. It's the only one that still makes me consider jumping through hoops...

Thanks, yes it looks even better in the flesh. Compared to my Skyflake on a bracelet this is considerably lighter but I’ll update further after a few days wrist time.

I do really like that Longines, been thinking of picking one up myself .. albeit on the bracelet. Congrats.

I'm not a huge fan of the Speedmaster but the Snoopy is something else. Totally transforms it for me.

I imagine Omega charge through the nose for their bracelets?

It's actually not too bad at £625 for the Snoopy Harry.

Thank you, I bought it on the leather strap as I have the bracelet on a 42mm Spirit Prestige, strap changes are simple with the interchangeable strap system.

Bought this off Bazzman on a whim, it looked quite rough in the photos, but half an hour with a toothbrush and some Polywatch, added an old Boctok strap and it’s really quite nice
