This one from SC yesterday. Edging deeper down the 5 digit rabbit hole - lug holes and no engraved rehaut this time. Quick comparison with the poor man’s Red Sub.

Very nice, that’s a good catch, how are you getting on with the size of them? I work hard at telling myself mine isn’t too small and I think I’m actually starting to believe it.

    Another Rolex, there’s a surprise

Don’t forget the flat 4 bezel insert. Funny how those get over looked, if it was green people would be wetting themselves.

I'd be very interested to know the answer, too. I think that a good quality jubilee strap takes a watch up a notch. I am a sucker for a Rolex on a jubliee, even on models that i'm non-plussed about on an oyster bracelet.

I'm looking for a good quality jubilee for a couple of my watches that are current not on a bracelet.

This side-to-side really shows the improvements in lug contouring in the SD vs the maxi 6 digit cases. Much more inline with the 5 digits.

Very nice - and retains the original classic shape and size.

Yes mate, many thanks to our mate Z. It’s not the plexi original that I was originally after, but it’ll certainly scratch the itch!

Remarkable time keeping too. After 24hrs it is running +/- 0s.

Thanks guys. Bit small for my trotter really but it’s almost borderline - you could probably see it too small and fine on different days. I don’t want to wear anything ceramic in the office and this was the same price-ish as a 39mm Explorer mk2 I was mulling.

Need to rationalise now though as Watches and Wonders is in a week and a half so I need to put my name down for some watches I won’t get.

    Looking good on that Haveston.

..& certainly good enough - even without the plexi IMHO.

    Aqua Terra arrived today.
Have lusted after this one for a long time and found a used one in Japan on Chrono24.
Buying experience was great and packaging was the best I have experienced.
However, the less said about FedEx the better!!

I have wanted to try one of these again for a good while now. The improved handset makes a noticeable difference to my previous one and the lume filled numbers are a very nice touch.

Lovely, lovely watch. Seems to have come into its own on TZ recently. A wrist shot came up on my google memories this morning and I was staring at it for a good 30 seconds. Enjoy.

Smiths Astral Ukraine fundraiser special arrived this morning. Thanks to Bandylegss who donated it and Wooster who won it and kindly put it back up for auction.

And a comparison picture with the IWC Mark XVIII that arrived earlier this week.

A step up from many other Breitlings with generic movements - the B01 Chronograph is top notch, and this DLC coating very hard wearing Gav

I’ve been a lucky chap to have “got the call” for these two in recent months:

Cheers - I certainly think it is. Citizen really seem to have upped their game lately, with this being the equal of any entry level GS I've handled. Great to see them getting back into the auto game - can't wait to see one of the calibre 0200's when they make it over here!

    My first oysterquartz ...

I bought this watch from a fellow member last week. He had bought it off SC recently but decided to pass it on (he pipped me to the post on the original sale). Thanks to his generosity, I was able to purchase the watch at the same price from him. It really is stunning and is a definitely a keeper in my small collection. Couple of quick pics in the sun this afternoon:

I believe so at the moment. I got this mint used example from Japan via Chrono 24. I did ask a UK AD I use who sells Citizen about them, he checked with his Citizen rep who told him it would be getting a UK release next year.
