    Arrived this week and enjoying it so far. The level of detail is insane. Would highly recommend.

    Cheap and cheerful last weekend. Couldn't resist at half price or maybe it's always at half price.

    Do I read that right? 25,000 metres? That would be twice as deep as the deepest ocean (on this planet, anyhow). Useful......

    That’s right - theoretically down to 25km
    Impressive engineering, and just as useful as any other diver that will be used at the desk (including mine)

    Just a nice fun watch. How high is the case?

    I should think 95% or more of the world's population will never go below 20 metres which makes you wonder about our fascination for divers. I have two Helsons with 2,000m WR and neither have ever been in the shower.

    Exactly - it is pretty tall at 22.85mm, and 44mm across the bezel - somewhat taller than a planet ocean, so just need to be careful when passing through doors (patio doors included)

    The shower - that’s filled with places to scrape a watch, so me neither :)

    Have they done something special to the engineering? Is it liquid filled or something like else?

    * 120-Click Unidirectional Rotational Bezel
    * Guarded & Screwed Multi-Sealed Crown-System
    * Solid Ti G5 Multi-Sealed Case-Back
    * BGW9 SL Hands and Markers
    * Multi-Layer AR-Treated Sapphire Crystal

    It’s been a while since I posted an incoming!
    This arrived safely this morning.
    Replaced the strap that came with it for this Distressed Brown one
    Just need a genuine pin buckle to make it complete.
    A hastily taken photo.

    This just arrived through the post; trying to avoid buying but failed.

    So much more comfortable to wear, look forward to buying some straps for the speedy.

    One New Year's resolution which didn't last long!

    My New Sinn 903 Navigator, which I picked up from James Porter Jewellers in Glasgow yesterday. The watch Manager David Sharp was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

    I'm generally very pleased with the watch. It is also a better size for me than the Breitling Navitimer. As you would expect from a Sinn, the quality is very good, and the movement (SW 510A?) is quite nicely decorated and seems accurate so far. The slide rule is controlled by the crown at 10. I find it quite stiff and fiddly to use, and I'm not sure it is an improvement over the manual turn bezel. But that is a minor gripe really, as I am very unlikely to use the slide rule in anger.

    Baltic Bicompax Pulso for the Rake and Revolution. Really nice for the price - lovely dial and great proportions.

    And another colourful dial. I've had a Sub 300 in the past and was always worried the 300T would be too big for me but it wears surprisingly well:

    Couple of incomings today plus a new bracelet for one to give a new look on my speedy mod.

    Firstly the Smiths Everest 36mm received off Mark London.
    I got my son the black 36mm on first release and the bracelet and huge clasp let a really nice watch down a bit. The bracelet on this one is a big leap forwards and feels much nicer on the wrist.

    Next up a watch I originally got from Bryan Nylon
    The often replicated by Seiko but never beaten imo
    The SLA017
    I let this one go after much pleading by MFB Scotland last year but I was safe in the knowledge that a terminal flipper like Michael would feel the need to let it go again so I was delighted to “get the text” asking if I wanted it back (on the proviso of 1st refusal of course).
    Met up today for a coffee and scone(rock n roll) and back it came

    Lastly after a thread on watch talk about the new Forstner bracelet release I decided to give it a try on my modded FOIS
    I was ready to let this go as I wasn’t feeling it comfy on the snoopy strap/deployant clasp and wasn’t getting the wear it deserved.
    Bit of a faff getting the bracelet sized etc but pleased with the overall look and I’ll give the speedy another chance with this.
    Cheers

    The Nomos lasted a grand total of 24hrs before I realised it wasn't for me. Replaced with this other piece of Teutonic loveliness, which is much more in keeping with my "style"

    Had one of my late night services meet ups with Burnsey yesterday and was delighted to relieve him of my old AP Diver that he's been babysitting for four and a half years
    Its inherited a bracelet so I stuck that on this morning. Very pleased to have it back in the fold.

    A nice surprise in the post this morning.

    I backed this Kickstarter project last year and knew it was coming soon, but thought the inbound from HK was a pair of dive gloves!

    PS Just noticed I hadn't even taken the screen protector off when I took the photo!

    First incoming for 2022. Loving it. For my wrists this wears much more comfortably than the previous gen 40mm.

    The change proportions in proportions are tiny, with only 1mm on the bracelet. Are you sure you can notice any different in comfort?

    I definitely notice the difference. The lugs at more tapered on this version which means it wears less square on the wrist.

    The new Submariner is 21.0mm at the lugs and tapers to a 16.4 wide link, but then has an 18.6 wide clasp. That’s 3mm wider than the previous generation, which in watch dimensions, is clinically significant but still minute.

    I've had a 126610 for some three months now, and it still feels small on the wrist. Maybe I am too used to wearing the DSSD but just cannot get comfortable with it.

    Arrived today. Timex Navi in 38mm on fabric strap. From their Archive. At £110 delivered brand new it’s a great example of not needing to pay fortunes for something interesting and capable. My new beater.

    That is cool, Ryan, I really like it. I am patiently waiting for my first Ming to arrive tomorrow, an 18.01 on bracelet.
