Oh, haha that must have been the quickest flip ever! Congrats on being in the right position to take it over, hopefully that been is in safe hands now.

Great choice, best of the Habring bunch imo, I'd love one.

With all the attention on BB58 and GMT, we often forget what a fine watch the Pelagos is.

    That’s gorgeous

I’m hopefully going to pick up a standard Habring Felix on Monday. Mad complication, and I love the dial and hands

Thanks for all the positive comments! Yes, the sub-dial hand flashes at 1/8 second intervals. It’s quite amazing in real life - almost doesn’t look real, like it’s some kind of animation on the dial. Completely pointless but I tend to get bored with dressier watches and this should certainly help to avoid that! I’m really impressed with the accuracy too. It’s bang on time after 24 hours.

Yes, it has the dead seconds complication too. I’m a bit of a timing / accuracy nerd so I find it quite handy! I don’t know how to upload a video here but happy to do so if someone can explain how.

Thanks all. And enjoy your Felix - on the basis of this one, I think you’ll love it. The proportions are excellent and it’s finished really nicely. The strap is excellent too - a kind of fine, green/grey suede. I briefly owned a Habring Doppel 3 a few years back and this seems a step up from that, I think.

    Dead seconds too! Superb stuff.

A video would be great indeed.

You can upload direct to YouTube and then just share the link? Vimeo's another option.

Don't know, sorry, can't help you there. The pure Heuer ones are harder to date, I think, as Heuer didn't keep good records. I think the Tag/transitional ones are probably easier to date. I'm guessing early 80s, certainly pre '86

It’s probably one of my current favourites.

I don’t know why I didn’t pick one up years ago?

I don't think I'd noticed the chapter ring properly until now, very cool how the indices are inset.

New pick up today, regretted selling my Wimbledon datejust and have been on the look out for its replacement ever since. Saw this dial in the flesh for the first time yesterday and was hooked…has a real depth to it that can’t be conveyed on a webpage (especially the Rolex website!). Mostly silver but the sunburst pattern brings up hues of pink or gold depending on how the light catches it.

    Very happy indeed.

I've tried on the LHD twice but the fauxtina wasn't for me. I've never looked at the other two and now can't figure out why. I'll see how blue it is in person and what discounts are like.

I have tried one before, nice on the wrist and light. I think you will like it Wiley. Good value for money too compared to what you are used to

Divorce could end up making it the most expensive by some distance.

Bit like when I was speeding to M&S before work for some £30 chinos which ended up costing me over a grand and 6 points.

I put them on to go to work (field based) and there was KFC juice all down them from the day before which I'd completely forgotten about. Never again, I'd just wear a suit next time.

Never thrown those chinos away. Most expensive pair I'll ever own.

I only have sports too, all on oyster. When I was chatting with AD he convinced my to try one when they had one delivered.

Think these are even getting hard to get. Don’t seem many for sale with black dial and some places nudging £10k with a list of £7900

I generally think the 41mm is too big but that is astonishingly beautiful. I think the fluted bezel makes it look smaller than the s/s shiny bezel which, IMHO, takes over the watch.

Been chasing one of these for a while and our fine showing in the Olympics so far pushed me in to a snap purchase.

It came in a VERY big box, but damn it's in good nick for a 15 year old watch.

Was it the giant Diver's helmet box? If so it really is big.

Thank you! Close to a year I think, but even so I was quite surprised to get the call. I was told that they only get one every few months (whereas subs they get every month).
