It’s a cool beater love the snowflake square markers. I’ve never seen a quartz with a helium escape valve.

Thanks. It’s looks like a 37 maybe on me. I do like how light it is. Hardly notice it’s there as it wears quite flat

Took a bit of time getting used to it as I mainly wear 38/40mm watches now but it’s a great all rounder. Love how low key it is.
Very nice. I've seen comparison pics of the old 36 Vs this new "36" and it's noticeably bigger.

Time to bin the Speedy, Tudor and probably the Pie Pan too.

I think the glass is not as tall I agree from the videos it looks later than the previous gen.

Speedy fois and Tudor bb58 blue will have to go. Just do wear them. But the pie pan omega has to stay. It’s a classic.

I have to get used to it. It’s really, really small. Clasp is tiny too but maybe that’s the joy of it. Very light.

Here it is compared to the 40mm sub. It feels weird when you go from a larger watch to the exp. but after a while it’s totally fine for me.

Looks very nice plus being light is a positive.

    What’s your wrist size?

I had the 39 and it fit fine but this one definitely isn't for me, no point even trying one on.

Should hopefully have something in 42 on Oysterflex in a few weeks. Interested in the size of that.

Apologies for being late to this party, but work has been uber busy (not that I work for Uber).
I've had 3 incomings over the last 4 weeks, so apologies in advance for the pics in the same post.

I'm meant to tag @hood in this post, but no sure i know how to..

Great watch! I was tempted a few times but trying to save my pennies for if I "get the call".

Never owned a watch this light & slim so it’s a refreshing change. Build & finish are excellent and the details are amazing as well. My photography skills aren’t good enough to capture the watch. The open case back is just a beauty and I could look at it all day

I was sceptical about the strap colour but it’s won me over, not overly impressed by the strap quality though. I was expecting a smooth leather strap which is quite thick but in fact it’s quite thin.

Overall it’s beat my expectations :)

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

    SBGX335 just arrived...

Quick resize of the bracelet & this is on the wrist for the rest of the day / week. I’ve had quite a few GS quartz models over the years as they’ve been marvellous, but largely unworn.

I think this will buck the trend & stay & be worn for quite some time.

Really great watch! Still not pennies for me but I get what you say haha

Kind of puts into perspective the 6-7-10k you would have to spend on some equally capable watches.

I’m sure you will be deemed worth of owning a “get the call” watch soon

GS makes some great quartz divers, and this is certainly one of them. Congrats!

That's superb. I'd not seen one until JonRA posted one (or one v similar) not long ago. Nice bit of heft.

It really does. I have the older SPB079 on the SPB077 bracelet and it's a fantastic watch. Best bang for buck I've had and big step above anything similarly priced from Seiko. Also nice not to have the day on the dial.

It seems that this new mm200 is less popular than the 14x and 15x releases but for me it is by far the most beautiful of these recent releases.
The case and his finishing is fantastic ! The faceted bracelet play with the light and the watch wear so well.

Went to pick the 36mm DJ up from the AD today and asked if hed got a 41mm Sub to try on for size.
Ended upo walking ouit with this on the wrist.
The dial absoluely pops in real life.Makes a big change from my usual black/steel diver taste.

Congratulations, I tried the black dial one on today and was very impressed but I am biased as I own the 40mm already

I've got an SBGX335 and an SBGX337 - the blue faced version. They are a hefty watch - I wear one on the bracelet and one an Erika's Original. The EO is my preference for a daily wearer and the bracelet if I want something a little smarter.

    Thank you.
I tried the black dial and was deliberating for a few minutes and ultimately settled on this.
Just came down to me having black dialled watches and fancied something different.

    A birthday gift.

    Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT

This is my first CW and so far I'm reasonably impressed. Winding is smooth, the dial is legible and the size at 38mm and modest thickness makes it very comfortable.

Wasn't that keen on the leather strap it came on so it's on a sailcloth until a Di Modell alternative arrives.

Overall, seems like a decent package for the money and I hear good things about CW and customer service.

It's very nice but I wouldn't compare it to VC bracelets haha, the hand finished links on the overseas are outrageous.

It is built very well however, and comfortable. It also comes with a Bergeon screwdriver which is quite thoughtful

Thanks for all the positive comments. It is indeed a nice bit of heft.
I liked the SBGX117 when they came out, but resisted getting one, only to regret it.
I like the HAQ 9F movement, hence my previous dalliances with GS - but none of them stuck.
The combination of the 9F movement in a hefty, crisply finished angular case is a killer combo for me.
When JonRA posted his it reignited my interest - so when I saw this at a decent price on Chrono24 I didn’t hesitate.
It was a perfect deal & delivered very promptly from Kyoto (...albeit with the usual nervousness of a DHL delivery)

I suspect you might find this video that came out yesterday interesting, lots of side-by-side comparisons between the new and old explorer 36mm and sizing etc
