Lovely watch & looks great on that strap.
    Is it the 36mm version?

I'll pick up a 36 if a see one, don't come up very often.

Yes I know - been after the 36mm myself for quite a while.
    Great watches!

  4. #12204
    I meant No its a 39 obviously

Yes they are, and quite rare , my wrist is just under 7" so the 39 is perfect and the 2403b

Like these more and more. Is that the 37mm? If so, what size wrists do you have as it looks spot on!

    Hi,

Yes, 37mm. My wrist is around 6.5inches.

My initial plan was to buy an oris 65, buy when I knew about this rado in 37mm I took a bit longer to decide and went with the rado.

Thanks, I'd been eyeing up the 42mm but think this might be a better fit.
Will probably have to make my way to a shop eventually.

A watch bought a few weeks before Christmas finally arrived today. I have wanted a meteorite dial watch for a number of years and was impressed with the Zelos watches, a brand I have not tried before. This one also has a meteorite bezel insert which is a nice touch.

The lume is pretty good too including a lumed crown.

Out of this world - you knew that was coming

I'm not convinced H Samuel ever had any stock at the sale price, just a glitch in their website I think. It said there was stock on the product page, but out-of-stock when added to checkout. Think they've fixed it now to just say out-of-stock.

Got a cheeky price match through John Lewis though

Just arrived in the last hour; liking it very much I find it different to the previous 41.5mm I had. I have also gone for leather strap version this time. I looked at the dials at the boutique before lock down and went for a black dial this time, though the blue and silver are very nice.

Just pulled the trigger on this vintage Tissot chrono two days ago, with a rare Lemania 872 (cousin of the Omega 321)
Bit of a risk taken there, based on just this one bad photo and brief description, but that thrill is just part of the treasure hunt...
But at least it was cheap
Can't wait to see it in person - which will take quite a while, as I had it shipped to a friend in Germany to avoid pricey shipping & VAT

Your name sounds familiar, good to know there's a 1980 buddy around :)
Thanks for the tip! Long time lurker on MWR with just a single WTB post for an issued 1980 CWC chrono, which was meant to be a 40st present, but no luck so far..

Looks good. The bracelet gets really good reviews, I'm looking for a daily wearer sub £2k with a quality micro-adjustment and would consider one but can't help thinking I'll always be waiting to be asked if that's a real Rolex. I realise that says more about me! I'll maybe wait until GS pull their finger out and fit a quality adjustable bracelet on a 37-40mm watch that I like.

Great find, even from the bad picture case looks right finish, dial and hands clean with honest patina on the lume, bezel has no major flaws and black hasn’t leaked into the white as sometimes happens on this model. Good hunting, congrats!

For the price the quality is superb from my little experience with it so far! Fit and finish is just top notch, I'd say its easily level with my BB58.

In terms of it being a homage, that is the only let down for me so far, obviously I knew what I was buying at the time, but I'm also dreading the time someone asks me if it's a rolex.

But having said that I've had my bb58 mistaken for a rolex and most general public don't even know tudor, only tag and rolex... so maybe it's just in our heads about brand prestige, as it certainly wouldn't stop most of us getting the tudor.

Yes sir, Panerai 372 plexi from 2014. No one seems to put these on an all black leather strap but imho it suits it really well.

Totally agree. I have a black Toshi with ecru stitch that I wear both my 372 and my 587 on (not at the same time of course) and it looks boss.

The Incoming / New Arrival Thread

Always missed my GSG after the original owner begged, pleaded & crawled over broken glass to get it back

So got a very new UX in standard form & swapped the bezel, which arrived today. Very happy & know that I won’t be letting this one go.

ETA not sure how I made my hand into a hoof or the fact it looks like it’s strangling my wrist!

My Baby Dreadnought arrived today. It's a small watch, but I do like it a lot. Photo taken from close range so the real size on my huge wrist is concealed a bit.

  38. #12238
More representative of the actual size of it on 8.75" wrist.

And no, I've not yet taken off the stickers on the bracelet. Will be doing that after dinner :)

This came back to me this evening. I purchased new, then 3 forum members have looked after it and I am now delighted to have it back. A perfect example of why this forum is great.

The exact bezel and strap I would go for on one of these. Really nice and at some point I'll try one.

This arrived yesterday, 5 weeks earlier than indicated when I ordered just before New Year. It's lovely although a tad large for me and the bracelet was a nightmare to size!

Saw a photo on a forum a couple of years ago & knew I had to have one. Purchased Paul’s one and sold it back to him, but knew I needed another.

Will be keeping hold of this one though. Got a U1 I will be selling shortly, you could buy the bezel for that in SDR and make one.
