That is a beautiful watch. Congratulations.

No off to see how I can dig up the funds for one.

Looks great! Less radiant and bright than some of the pictures I’ve seen before (which is good): is that a fair comment or is it very sunbursty?

This arrived yesterday, very pleased, lots of nice vintage touches and a nice slim profile for a GMT.

The sunburst effect is subtle (when I'm in the house) but in bright sunlight you can really see the change from blue to dark blue (almost black), the black bezel works very well with the dial too.
    Hope this captures it better.

Never heard of Lorier but that looks really nice. Case looks well finished.

I was seriously tempted by the newer SLA037 or SLA043 but I already have a couple of blue dialled watches. I managed to find a good condition SLA017 and I’m really happy.

Is that a scratch on the bezel between 200 & 180, hopefully not?

Stunning watch, love it. You will have to post a pic in the thread for the most hated watches on the forum, what do they know...

That's very special and neat piece of upgrading. I would have been hard pressed to let the Dark Star go, I would have wanted to keep both!

Was looking for another Seiko diver. Having tried several of the larger models with crowns at the 20 min point, I wanted one of the 62MAS inspired models, nearer to 40mm with the crown in the correct place. The dark Blue dial SPB149J1 limited edition ticked all my boxes, but appeared to be sold out everywhere. I tried a WTB on here and got lucky, arrived today and absolutely delighted with it.

I've had a couple of the 43mm models and a Marine Master and generally found them a little large. I also tried one of Eddie's PRS-68 which is a Willard clone and that didn't really work either. This new 149 has touches of various Seadweller models about it and works for me. I can see that it would be a little small for some though.

You’ve got the wrists big enough to rock an SD43 but at the same time this looks really good.

Lovely elegant piece, are there any negatives......? I’d say no.
