    It's here. IT'S FINALLY F****** WELL HERE!!!

Custom-order Damasko DC80 central-minutes chronograph, with castellated instead of coin-edge bezel, 1-11 ceramic bezel insert, red pip, and red chrono hands.

Tis a beautiful thing, and I am not a little chuffed!

Snagged in Burrell’s sale. My experience is the same as Atari’s in that it’s clearly not 100% new. Still, what a watch! It does an awful lot with very little.

After meeting Giles Ellis the owner of "Schofield" watches at the watchmakers club evening last year I was taken by his enthusiasm and attention to detail which showed through in the quality and craftsmanship of his watches. After a little collection shake up I have acquired, in the last month, 3 of his lovely time pieces. The Black Lamp, the Telemark X Ray and the Signalman.
To accompany them I have also acquired the rather lovely strap kit. A lovely trio.

This finally landed today. Took some homework and thought process to make the leap, but this watch is so cool it’s unreal. I had the copper model and at the price point that was nice, this is another level (or four) though.

Congrats, glad to see it's come out as planned! It looks superb. How is the weight and balance? Comfy?

Thanks. Notwithstanding two trips back to Germany before they finally fitted the bezel I'd actually asked for, all is good (and I now own pretty much all of Damasko's branded merchandise...).

It's a very easy and comfortable watch to wear on the Hirsch strap as pictured, 43mm is a good size on me, but it's not a design I'd want to be any bigger as it wears large - like an all-dial watch, plus it's pretty tall at 13.9mm. I haven't sized the matching bracelet yet because the connecting tubes between links have been Loctite'd into place, requiring I either heat it, or soak it in acetone....!

A friend who is a watchmaker by trade had warned that things may not go entirely smoothly dealing with Damsko - and while they are lovely people to deal with - his predictions have run somewhat true!

No matter! I LOVE the watch - every detail is just so Right, it's the most uncluttered chronograph imaginable - not even a date window, and the non-standard bidirectional bezel insert means I can time hours as well. By far the most expensive purchase I've made, but so worth it.

Yea customer service is an issue with Damasko, shame about the two trips, but fingers crossed all stays well now!

The weight with the bracelet must be a beast, look forward to those pics whenever you get that on too!

I agree with the uncluttered statement. Not many options out there - maybe the Moser, but that comes with $$$$. I'm still not sure which timing bezel I prefer, but I'd lean to the choice you have.

Love what Moser have had the pods to do with the Streamliner, gorgeous thing, but that's lottery-win territory. Sinn EZM 1 is close (albeit 2x the £), tho' I'm right handed, so the sinstrality would irk! That said, at the right price, I'd be on one like a tramp on a bag of chips. Beyond that I think it's mostly vintage options. Shame no-one's making the Lemania 5100 any more - Swatch Group must own the rights but no interest I guess. Gratuitous German tool watch porn follows...

earl, the side profile on that looks fantastic. Damasko aren't my cup of tea but that makes a MM300 look like a dress watch. Two trips is slack of them and very annoying but at least they entertained the request.

    That tickled me.

And yes, so much for stereotypical Germanic efficiency, but custom orders must be a PITA, the surcharge for it all was just Eu35, and the final result has been worth the testicular discomfort!

This has just arrived; and I’m very pleased with it so far - I wasn’t sure whether to get the LHD or the regular black and white version; on balance I’m glad I went with this one. I really like the hint of red and the bracelet is amazing.

FYI I bought this from grey dealer Guardian of Time at 10% off RRP, very good level of service and communication. I was quoted 2-3wks, it arrived in 5 working days.

Forgive me father for I have sinned.
I own lots of beautiful, accurate Swiss and Japanese watches, but I have begun coveting this (bunch of) ass from my neighbour's parish.
    It is shipping now.

I'm hoping I get all the clothing, shoes, sunglasses etc too.

I just couldn't resist this one, and for not many pennies...

    admonish me...

This beauty came today from a member of the forum. Been wanting this Sinn 556i for a few years and I think (/hope) it will be the last watch purchase for a while.

The bracelet is very comfortable and it feels like I've had it for a long time.

I can only hope that the penance won't be too heavy.

Although I can understand why you have decided to walk down this path of sin. It is a nice homage.

    Fresh in today.

A few people have posted positive comments about Steeldive watches recently, so I thought I’d give one a try. These homage/replica/fake/call-them-what-you-will watches can be a bit divisive. I’m never going to be in a position to buy the Seiko original, but for the money this is actually pretty good.

Picked up a SD43 today after paying for it during lockdown. Really, really nice and makes my SubC look like a toy in comparison. They also gave me a Rolex wallet as a gift which was really nice of them and amazingly it's only branded internally so I might actually use it!

They wouldn't remove the divers ext link in the store but I did that myself within 5 minutes of getting home and now it's perfect.

Congrats Wileeeeey, I have been living vicariously through your purchase and wait for your SD43. I really want one this year too, it is the only 6 digit Rolex that has sparked any real interest in me That's an interesting pic, the SD43 looks to have a much wider bezel which I had not picked up on. I am yet to even see one in the flesh and I really need to before taking the plunge.

The wallet is a nice touch when you probably expected bugger all.

Paid my deposit on the 30th of April to secure the price pre increase and it has been a long wait. The pick up day finally arrived and I am in love. Amazing service aswell. As well as the watch, I received the latest catalogue, artists of time book, a bottle of champagne, a mont blanc card holder, a vacheron travel case and a taxi home. Amazing service and an even more amazing watch. Terrible photos but I'm not sure any camera can capture the sheer beauty of the watch

^^^^Very nice. Strangely enough, I switched my pre-increase order for the VC to the blackout Pam. What a contrast between the two.

Congrats - have to say since getting mine, nothing else gets much of a look in. I’m sure you’ll agree that no pictures do it justice. The blue is electric in the sun, but most of the time I’d never know. The difficulty is deciding which strap to wear.

Yes, there genuinely is so much to it, looking at it straight on, it just looks as if the hands are floating on a deep blue lagoon and looking it it sideways it changes from a marine blur to almost black depending on the angle, truly is mesmerising

Wow, that's some service! I've got to say between this and the CHNR that you were looking at before this is leagues ahead. No comparison.

Absolutely, the finishing is out of this world and I reckon I would have got rid of the CHNR before long because as subtle as the TT rose gold is, I much prefer the understated elegant look of the overseas

It’s a mad hobby this. I have a perfectly lovely Seiko SKX007K, but felt I needed a “J” as recently discontinued. Went with jubilee over the awful stock rubber. Great price from Rob@Monsterwatches, and he checks the chapter ring alignment too

Indeed, nice gift and totally unexpected. It's noticeably heavier but blows the Sub and BLNR out of the water and that's before taking lugs into accout. I think proportion wise it probably wears on me how the Sub wears on most people and will make adjusting to a D-Blue if/when one comes much easier. If it didn't have the Cyclops it out be perfect. The bracelet is squeaking at the minute but after googling it looks like that's mostly temporary and should stop with wear and a few showers.

When the world is back to normal it would be worth maybe going to a regional meet up or asking an AD to give you a call when someone else's SD43 arrives so you can try it in before it's collected.

I posted a pic of this on the Friday thread but thought I would post here as well because why not!
The Tissot Powermatic 80 Silicium. It's the first Tissot in my collection and I'm rather impressed with it. The 40mm case and lug length is fine for my wrist, though I wouldn't want this style of watch any bigger. The case is nicely brushed with polished edges and bezel. The dial is a lovely shade of blue that catches the light nicely. Sapphire crystal and display back. The lume is super luminova. It doesn't glow very brightly but it's easily readable through the night. It's not a diver after all! The hands and hour markers are polished so it is easily readable in low light even if there was no lume. Push in crown with the T logo on it. Water resistance rated to 100m. Being new, I can't really judge the accuracy but so far it has lost a second in 24 hours. The only disapointment was the leather strap. It seems well made and has a nice clasp (also with the T engraved) however it is thinner than I would like and the shade of brown was not to my taste. A kind of muddy brown. I have fitted a Hirsch Liberty strap to it meantime which looks better to my eye. Unfortunately it is too thick to fit the Tissot clasp to but I'm not too bothered. I really like this watch and it makes a nice change from the usual divers. :)
