Just picked this up today. Had a F2F with Go Big of this parish. Top man.
My collection is now complete. Really smitten with the DJ41.

My one says hello. Although 41mm, I find it wears a lot smaller and feels more like a 40 or even 39.

Bought brand new from Ernest Jones yesterday, Black Bay 41, slightly early bday present to myself and a watch I’ve lusted after for some time. Really really pleased with it, the understated design, size, legibility and overall feel of quality.

Beautiful to see a Tudor with a decent bracelet. Not a rivet in sight.

I believe they got a suit and not a watch. As long as it wasn't his name on the 1033, I suppose...
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

My dad got both, think Rees-Mogg and you'll have some idea of the suit quality.

My dad was RAF, don't know whether the Forces differed.
It's got GSTP on the back and an up arrow, but the number has faded.

Ha, yeah agreed, not a fan of the faux rivets. The bracelet on this is sensational, slim, supple, comfy, lovely taper and brilliant clasp with the ceramic ball bearings (clearly I am pleased!).

Lovely watches though. After owning and flipping an SBBN017 I'm really pleased to have a 7549-7010 in the collection

Strap incoming for me, TC Strap from Ciampi Brelli - Kodiak waterproof leather, in a lovely cognac colour.

Colour wise not far off my copper Red Wings & copper red wing strap.

Eager to test out the waterproofness and let the strap break in.

Recently fell prey to the somewhat egotistical notion of specifying my own watch with Undone in HK. The result arrived today, and I'm delighted with it - I get that concept, maker and execution are all "Marmite", but for me it feels like £400 well spent, even if that's a lot for an NH35-powered ticker -

Glazing is Sapphire, exhibition back (I know, but it cost no more), choice of really well made straps, beautiful leather case (in a practical shape for once!), etc. The detailing and overall quality is better than I would have expected. Especially like little features like the bolt-shaped crown, and the wedge-shape to cyclops and date window.

New to me today a 2006 Aqua Terra Blue 2500. I had one of these previously in 2011 and sold it.

Lovely blue dial but almost impossible to capture on a phone camera.

Is that the 5512 from Kash. Nicest vintage Rolex I've seen in a very long time, enjoy.

Seiko Marinemaster 300. I took this in trade this week, wasn't sure because of the 45 mm case, but have to say it wears very nicely.

    I think I like it.

Called into Alsal Watches on The Strand in London yesterday & my attention was drawn to the large range of Ventura watches they have in there. I’ve had one in the past & know how good they are, some of the finest engineered digital watches you’ll ever see, with hardened cases, sapphire crystals and unique styling (albeit there’s a variant licensed at a lower price & spec to Braun a few years ago) so picked up this beautifully minimalist V-Tec Alpha mk2 - joins my small German Quartz watches collection alongside Sinn UX SDR & a Braun GMT watch.
