Possibly better balanced than the 'standard' Royal Oaks IMO and I may even go as far as my favourite. Congrats

Unplanned expenditure at the weekend, BB bronze for me and a blue BB36 for the wife

Got £170 off the bronze and a watchwinder and free service for the BB36. As it was a Basel release this year they couldn’t discount it

I’ve missed having a GMT in the collection and have been looking for the right one for a while. I was actually after a 16750 but feared I’d never find one as nice as the beauty I foolishly let go. Then an unpolished Swiss-only dialled 16710 found its way to me, totally unexpectedly!

Very nice indeed Tony. You don't see many of these for sale - unfortunately.

Thanks; I really like it, very clear to read. I don't think I'd want to go much bigger (6.5" wrist) but I think it works well on the wrist. A really nice everyday tool-chrono.

    Cheers

After seeing the Orange DH 1970 on SC I thought I'd give one a go. I went for the grey 40mm as modelled here by one of my 2 year olds. Really impressed so far.

That Takena Chrono looks rather interesting, what's the story behind that one?

I've got 4 incomings all looking like they'll arrive in the same few weeks, so might be in trouble with SWMBO here.

    Boldr Expedition Rainier

    Seiko SKX007J arrived yesterday.
Sold my previous one a couple of years ago.
Prompted by a thread on another forum I decided I needed another one.
Forgotten how good they are for the price.
Seen here next to my 6309.

I have fancied a blue dialled diver for a while and spotted this Scurfa earlier in the week and thought it was worth a try, I have to say I am pretty impressed with it.

Bought it from over here, from Ken, who had it from David: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...ighlight=sm300

It's a Watchco indeed, very well built, comfortable on the wrist and a pleasure to watch as the light plays in the plexi. A watch from a time when watches were watches and men were spies. Or divers. Or something else, but still cool :D

    Cheers,
    Christian

I think Watchco tends to be a generic term used to describe a rebuild. I understood that it was a rebuild, but not necessarily by Watchco using an original 552 movement and everything else new apart from the 1171 bracelet, which really suits it.

If you call it a Watchco everyone knows what you mean.

They are a limited run of 500 and just working through shipping at the moment.

No doubt there'll be a few up for sale fairly quickly.

My Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical delivered this afternoon and I'm really happy with it so far. I changed out the supplied nato with a Stevo Para strap.

This bad boy just arrived. Not sizes the bracelet up yet and may put it straight on a nato. Surprised to see the day wheel has English and Arabic writing. Absolutely loving it so far.
